absolutely disgraceful tonight, passing terrible but even worse was the movement off the ball which enables passes to be made in the first place. mulgrew is definitely not the answer, and neither is hooiveld, whose distribution was just as bad as mulgrews. also most midfielders seemed to be playing out of position, more or less four holding midfielders and maloney, *? as much as I hate saying it, we need mcgeady and most of all someone that takes brown off the books, totally overrated and cant pass to save himself. brown has never brought and will never bring anything to this team, have been saying it for years that his inclusion week in week out when hes fit holds celtic back, he should not be a starter not to mention captain...

Aye but didn't we beat them 3-0 at home first, then list away 3-0

Ok 1 Hinkel , not even registered for champs league. = not wanted and being forced out he wants a new deal , either board dnt wnt it as he is on 30k a week or Lennon dont rate him ,

Mc Geady is off , id say he could be gone before we play 2nd leg ,

We all know what will happen now. We will play brilliantly in the Emirates Cup and win that trophy, and then we play utter * again against Braga the following Wednesday...

    Aye it did

the second time, we were away to them and got beat 1-0 , then beat them by the same score at cp.

only difference was in the first time it happened, we played Benfica in the back-to-back games in the group stage and the win was massive for us

    and This!

Celtic first met in the European Cup in 1969, with the Scots progressing on the toss of a coin after the two legs finished 3-3 on aggregate.
They also met in the Champions League group stages in seasons 2006/07 and 2007/08, with both winning their home ties.

Well tonight was embarrasing to be fair. Some of the worst performances i have seen in a long time. Everyone looked lost and didn't seem to have a clue what the gameplan was. I won't single anyone out as i think as a "team" they were collectively * so i wouldn't say anyone is to blame.

Tactically....in fact there was no tactics from what i saw so why bother mentioning that.Just a bunch of imposters in Celtic shirts.

In all honesty though we were not up against a totally crap team.No big names in their team but they play well as a unit and their home record is pretty good. Not to mention they finished second in Portugal above some * hot teams so its not as if we were up against an amatuer team. The only thing that worries me is they didn't even seem to step up a gear in the game.We really need to be focused in the next game.

For now i'll remain optimistic.Too many faces showing up.Bound to rock the boat a bit at first.Things will hopefully settle soon and we'll be back to watching players playing the Celtic way

Tonight was nowhere near good enough!

Lenny has made it clear that he wanted commitment from the players but all too often tonight we looked favourites to win 50/50 tackles only to finish 2nd. Every played was below par tonight but Mulgrew in particular had a nightmare.

I cant't see us coming back from this:97:

samaras is incapable of making an intelligent run. never drags defenders around. he drops back to the center circle and then holds onto the ball too long and loses possesion. he is utter pish.

mulgrew is not a player to "hang you hat on". he's a deputy. that's it.

Wish it was Benfica tonight. We'd probably win 3-0 at home going by history.

Lol, Samaras drops back to get the ball and defenders go with him, i call that moving them lol.

But he has changed the way he plays, he used to pick up the ball and run, now he is bereft of confidence and goes one way or the other to a dead end which is a shame for someone that has the legs to take people on. He has no confidence.

A lotta ppl been saying that that type of penalty is not allowed.

Zaluska went mad as well. What a * ref that don't know the rules.

Would they get a second chance to take it i wonder ?
