i got a reply from realradio about the complaint i sent them,im not sure but it looks like a nonpersonable reply,,,,i,e same email reply they send to every one
    here it is

Thank you for your email and we are trying to respond positively and
sensitively to the many listeners who wrote to us stating their views
with regards to Steve McKenna's comment made live on Real Radio on
Tuesday afternoon and his subsequent broadcast apology on Thursday.
Steve was ignorant to the meaning of the comment and it was a genuine
mistake, for which he meant no offence. Making genuine mistakes are
perhaps part of everyone's nature and though often costly and unwelcome,
we can't hide from them. Steve and Real Radio have apologised for this
already and can only do so again.

We re-iterate that Steve McKenna sincerely regrets that the remark
caused so much offence and genuinely maintains that as a complete
non-follower of football and therefore no allegiance to any club, he had
no idea what it meant or implied until he was informed after the
    programme.

Both he and Real Radio are aware of the strength of feeling in
particular from Celtic supporters and can only continue to apologise for
any unintended offence caused. There is of course no logical reason for
the remark being made and it could not have been made to deliberately
offend - there was no justifiable purpose or motive as to why Steve
McKenna should deliberately set out to upset lots of people, jeopardise
his own listener relationships and incur the wrath of his employers.
There is no sense in or way of describing the reason other than error
caused by ignorance to the meaning of the remark.

Real Radio has given factual details as to how we believe the remark was
aired by return to everyone who has complained to the station as well as
broadcasting an apology to listeners to the station who may have been
    offended by what was said.

As a responsible licensed broadcaster we would never knowingly condone
anything which sought to be racist, sectarian or bigotry in nature or
insinuation or breached morally or otherwise the generally accepted
standards in broadcasting as described by the regulator in the Ofcom
    Broadcast Code.

    Yours sincerely

I was sent the exact same email too, this boggles the mind! I really think that they believe that the "because he knows nothing about football" pish excuse will suffice as a means of apology. I mean if it was say a Catholic presenter who had made a similar comment then he would 100% be fired within the week! Typical Scottish society, slaughter the Priests when they say something controversial but let people like Donald Findlay and Steve McKenna get away with saying anything they like and that saying "it was ment as a joke" in order to put things right! BOLLOCKS, utter BOLLOCKS! :47:

davie you need to improve your spelling lol

anyway, i can understand people will make genuine mistakes, thats fine and will always happen, however, ignorance is not acceptable. it was completely stupid. he says he does not understand what it meant, but why say it then?
