    Love him, love his serious stuff, love his frivolous stuff, but the 80s were poor for him for me. Id have gone with any hit to get through. Did you use Baby Jane or am i going daft? :smiley-laughing002:

    Just looked it up there, and seen that (If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want to Be Right was re released in 1980. Id have gone with that.

    But at the end of the day, its a personal favourites thing. I didnt like the song you picked mate...sorry.

    The twist is a good one, even if it has scuppered my plans :smiley-laughing002:

    Will the handicap still be in place for the final, Taz, or is it just until the semis? I might need to reconsider some of my song choices if it's the former.

    no saying your pick is the jam pin , but I recall in the black bull pub in ayr in the seventies carved on the bog door " the jam going great in 78 " then later " still fine in 79 " always made me smile .

    I beg to differ!

    Granted it is the 80s. but i feel a huge bias in favour of 80s supergroups....we know who they are.

    That said...not a complaint, just an observation!:smiley-laughing002:

    used baby jane in the first round and yes on reflection his stuff in the 80,s was limited. other choice was young turks .

    My system says it is showing up & double checked manually with the manfiier of doom, and can spot them. They were the first artist posted in Group B.

    For some reason the image (in the original group post) isn't showing up for me. I can see there's a picture there when I move the cursor over it, but it's not actually showing. IT must just be something on my end.

    It doesn't really matter anyway, seeing as we know that they're through and in Group B.

    I can't see some images either, like the Pogues logo on the previous page. If I see an empty post I have to press Quote then I can see the image url. I don't know why it happens with some and not others.
