"One of the first Maiden ("Number of the Beast" album) and probably one of the first hardrock songs I ever heard and there was no turning back from there. I was hooked and seeing them live 4 times confirmed to me that they're the most entertaining live band on the planet."

This song has many interpretations, but the one I relate to is when a relationship has gone beyond *, and your woman means much more than that, and any time I hear it, it reminds me of what I have.

"This was the very first song I ever learned to play on the double bass. Simple, almost jazz bassline, especially for the Cure, and such a departure from what they had been doing up until this point."

One of the first songs I heard by The Pogues, such a powerful song and an insight into an atrocity over a century ago.

"When I finished primary school, everyone in my class got to attend a little leaving/graduation party. A boy who I was friendly with at the time was a pretty big fan of Queen (so much so that he once delivered a 20 minute prepared talk on them, even though it was only supposed to be 3 minutes long) and kept asking the teachers if they could play a Queen song. In the end they did, and Radio Gaga woukd turn out to be the last song of the day.

Whenever I hear it, I'm instantly reminded of that day and all the mixed emotions of that time in my life."

"From the opening drum intro, said to signify the sound of machine gun fire, the song just hooks me. The song is about a young man joining the army, from college, and going to Vietnam. ‘Agent Orange’ was widely used there. If interested google it and you can read various theories behind the meaning of the lyrics."

    Brilliant album.
I remember going to see them at Milton Keynes Bowl in 2003 (i think) when Dave Mustaine(Megadeth and Ex Metallica) came onstage even though he was suffering with laryngitus.
    Brilliant gig.

Well done Bhoys. What an impressive and diverse choice of songs. None I can say I hate. And as a music freak, that makes me happy. 2 of my favourite artists ever have been chosen by other people and I'm happy they are still in.:50:
