lol, that ad was responsible for traumatizing a generation of pre-teens. It made it's point though, the fact it is still remembered nearly 30 years later.

Forgot tae mention, well done Taz for your time and effort mate, in making this an enjoyable experience, the likes of which i've not had since i bought Rick Astley's greatest hits and danced around my living room buck naked, with the exception of a pair of yellow wellies, heady dayz indeed.

    Round 3
    Details

So this Round once again is compulsary 80's.

Though borrowing a theme from Minty in the last comp, this song needs to mean something to you.

So along with your song entry, add a few lines to your submission which will be posted, along with the song, as to why this song matters. Could be a particular lyric, or brings back a memory or whatever the case may be.

The Groups, as always, have been determined by random.org.

This Round is 3 Groups of 5.

It is straight elimination for the bottom song from each Group.

    Group A

    U2 ~ Rod Stewart ~ UB40 ~ Madonna ~ The Smiths

Sometimes I'm grateful for being blind and being spared such an image... but for Prof having described it in such vivid detail has seared a mental image that cannot be undone. :sicksmile

Better luck next time Prof, Swerve and Mark.

Having read the requirement for the next round its a shame that whoever has Madonna has already used 'like a virgin' as I would have liked to read the - 'what it means to them line' - :smiley-laughing002:

Unlucky lads. I had Roxy in 2nd place too!

I really try and give those who dont pick obvious 'hits' a chance by playing their song more than once, at least. Its easy to pick the big hits, but for someone to pull out an album track, it usually means they must really like it.....so its worth more than a single play.
