Very strong and quite imposing. Looks decent on the ball and fairly mobile to me..

Against dross but looked very impressive. Hopefully starts again at the weekend against a much better team.

If he’s not going to get minutes for us this season he needs loaned out. Far too good to be playing for the B team.

For me I want another proper challenger for first team, if that’s Julien being good enough to or not I’d be happy with that, and Lawal as the youth option. With Welsh out on loan.

I really, really want Welsh out on loan for a season. Not the most popular opinion on TC but I absolutely think Welsh could be good enough, but he’s on the verge now that if he doesn’t pick up more experience then he’ll have zero chance to do that. If we get him somewhere out in League one or a lower championship team with 40/50 games under his belt coming back to us next season, we’ll be able to say absolutely yes or no, one way or the other.

I hope he features a lot during preseason so that he impresses someone to give him a loan deal.

I want proper minutes in his legs this year.

That’s always a danger with us for our more promising youngsters as well, we don’t let them go out to get the experience because they might be needed for 10 games or so that season. And then that stalls the development.

An Ajer type loan would be huge for him

Could play a lot even staying with us. We may be in the market for another cb but this lad is more than ready to be back up to ccv and starfelt

For me we need to get Welsh a loan to allow him to kick on, another year on the bench then it’s too late for him. He was 3rd choi e last year even after Julien was fit by January, that Julien’s said himself. Is that sort of game time enough for Lawal to kick on or would it be better letting him go somewhere for a season and get a full year under his belt? We could use him, no doubt, but does having him there for 10/15 appearances, not even full games, os that good in the long run?

Can't see Ange loan Welsh, he continually mentions him even when he doesn't have to ... Loaning players is so hit and miss for us, most of the time the loans are quiet underwhelming..

Definitely needs to do an Ajer. Far too good for the Lowland League and needs to start testing himself against pros. Lower Premiership club would be ideal, maybe a Ross County.

Welsh will be kept due to the home grown/trained player slot.

We need so many trained players from the club for Europe.

See no reason why Hibs wouldn't even take him. Or Goodwin at Aberdeen.
