    This..

Good English championship move if possible but I'd really like to see someone like him at the sheep or a top 6 side domestically..

Not sure if he’s ready yet, but it’s the profile of player we need in the midfield. Physical, athletic, but also can keep the ball and drive up the pitch.

If it were up to me, I’d loan him out to the Championship and sign someone of a similar profile that he can take over from in a season or two, but if he impresses in preseason then I’d be fine with him staying.

We're idiots when it comes to giving youth game time.

We have ten clubs within our own league that would jump at the chance of having him on loan for the season. Most English Championship clubs would, too and every English league one club definitely would.

We only loaned him out because of Scott Brown.

We NEED to utilise the loan market for our youngsters. Get them to an age where they can have a crack at our first team or move them on for some cash.

Don't tell me - look at Montgomery! We obviously didn't choose the right club(s) for his development. He's no cutting it here anyway.

It's hardly rocket science but we make it look so difficult.

Looks a talent from that video, to be fair, and highlights even more how mental it was to try and make him a CB. All his best attributes are clearly those of a midfielder.

Definitely deserves a new deal and a shot here in pre-season.

We tried to do that to Wanyama as well, until he had to step in at midfield. We done it to Ajer and it worked out. But Lawal was signed as a very promising midfielder, not a DM either an 8. And we tried to convert him, at times he played midfield in the development squad as well and it’s where he’s at his best.

Him as a CB was him defending but playing on the front foot, like a Van Dijk, Ajer, Denayer style. Look at the loan spell with him though, he’s a box to box midfielder, and his physical attributes is something we have been wanting in midfield for years. But as soon as there’s height, not even physical players, it’s a very Scottish thing either big man up top or at the back. For 3/4 years we had Bitton there ffs

Has a lot of good attributes for a midfielder. Physicality. Athleticism. Decent on the ball. A ball carrier..

A top 6 loan and hopefully he can make a breakthrough with us after that..

I really think Rodgers will like him you know if he’s developed as reports are saying he has. Could be a big surprise for next year

Would need to see him again before I jump in any bandwagon.

Saw him at a B team and he looked, literally, head and shoulders above the rest of the team. "Raw" at the time for sure. But when he stepped in to the first team, he looked massively below par. Wasn't just his position played, he just looked shockingly bad.

Young both times I've seen him, so I'd expect plenty of changes regardless. But I'll need to see him hopefully during preseason to see if he's developed in to a DM worth using.

I definitely don't want him sold this window.

If he's not getting the game time here, get him out on loan to the highest possible standard that will get him regular game time.

Would we be looking to bring in any player from Fleetwood as a first team player? Doubt it. Imagine he will get pre season under Rodgers to impress, and he will have to have come on light years to be at the level we need. He is only 20 so perhaps another loan to a bigger club in a better league might be better for him.
