Looked proper jobby against Blackburn but it wasn’t even a full half and there was 10 other subs.

Hopefully he comes on to a game.

Looked really composed when he came on. Might see him against Everton.
    Looks a unit.

Brentford are among the clubs monitoring Celtic prospect Bosun Lawal.

Ireland youth international Lawal is attracting interest after rising to the brink of the Celtic first team this season.

The 19 year-old, who can play at centre back or in central midfield, made the bench for the first time for Saturday's 1-0 win at Aberdeen, retaining his place in Ange Postecoglou's plans after also being included in Celtic's squads for their winter training camps in Australia and Portugal

Lawal's displays for Celtic's B side have helped him catch the eye of not just Postecoglou but now also Brentford and Italian duo Pisa and Verona, who are considering moves for the teenager

Lawal started out at St Kevin's Boys in Ireland, the same renowned Dublin club whose former players include the likes of Liam Brady, Stephen Carr, Damien Duff and Ian Harte.

He was tempted to England by Watford in 2019 before being snapped up by Celtic last summer having shone at youth level and being named the Hornets' academy player of the year.

Ex-Vicarage Road captain Troy Deeney said of Lawal: 'He's got a little bit of [Abdoulaye] Doucoure about him. He can got passed people effortlessly and keep striding, he has that big long stride.

'I think there's not many young players that catch your eye and you think 'he's going to have a career', but he certainly does that.'

Never been impressed whenever I've actaully seen him play. Both pre season games though but looked a bombscare both times to me.

Players just won't wanna come here to be playing some diddy junior sides week in week out. That's the reality. Look at Jackie McNamara talking about Doak playing against Civil service strollers....and Lawal has a couple of years or so on Doak..

I won't be surprised if he wants off. He was excelling against good young premier league sides for a decent Watford academy outfit..

He probably should have gone on loan to Scottish Championship this season, probably last season too straight after signing him, that would have meant he would only become home grown rather than club grown but he would have developed more than against barely semi pro players. If he'd had a good season down a league, a SPL club may have wanted him for this season and we could look at seeing if he's good enough for us.

I would love to see him get some game time. But realistically, too many in front of him and likely have the new * boy penciled in for immediate game time. Just may be the right time to punt Welsh now

It's the issue with pathway to the first team.

Haven't had anyone really burst onto the scene with Ange yet. Ralston he has improved massively but he had been around a few years.

Have to wonder why we are not loaning out more players to scottish/english sides. Maybe im wrong but it feels like we are not as strong at bringing through our youth as we once were.
From my understanding Lawal and Oluwayemi are two of our brightest prospects but neither have seen much first team game time.
We lost okoflex and similar players without making any impression on the first team also.

Ange is never gonna get a better opportunity to give this lad and vata game time between now and the split. We are 9 points clear with 3 of our 9 next 4 games at home to Killie st mirren and Greenock. Even play him for 20/30 mins in those games and loan him on the last day of the window.

9/10 players we have loaned over the past couple years to other Scottish or lower league English teams have been utter utter failures.

Honestly get him out on * loan the rest of the season, honestly one of the top 6 in the Championship must need a CB. It’ll set him up for coming in pre-season and having a proper crack at it

Missed the game today. How long he get, how'd he do?

Great to see him featuring. Hoping to see more of him and few other from the B team in the coming months.
