What an irony!

Sectarian, racist, and generally offensive chants and songs completely ignored. But one gesture from Boruc is highlighted in all the rags(some on the front page).

I didnt realise The Huns were so sensitive(oops we're not allowed to call them that any more are we?)

Most of the Huns left the field to celebrate Miller's first goal to celebrate with the great unwashed.I dont remember any cards being issued.

it's a shame what's happening, although no surprise because the hun sfa will never change.

that not each and every celtic fan is supporting and standing by Boruc is even more shocking in my books tough.

Right, I don't normally get involved in this sort of thing but I've just fired this off to Smith and his cronies at the SFA:

Smith, I'm disappointed that you've decided to bring a case against Artur Boruc. It's a shame when people of limited judgement assume positions of responsibility and use a flawed sense of reason to make judgement calls such as this.
As a Celtic fan, I am personally disappointed in Artur's actions but the only punishment will need to be that imposed by Celtic themselves.
If you had actually thought about what you're doing before engaging in this, you'd realise that it is wholly improper to charge someone for reacting to abuse directed towards them for a ninety minute period while at their place of work. I would more readily accept this if you were prepared to tackle those instigating such incidents (from every support, including Celtic's) but this requires the SFA to rise above the hypocrisy it is quite clearly mired in.
If you, for example, were to be abused at your place of work, I assume you would adopt the same line and endure it, acknowledging that the only person who should be accountable would be yourself?
I look forward to your prompt reply.

Many thanks,
Nick.

Its a * disgrace that boruc is to be hauled infront of the sfa for givin the huns the finger yet they abuse him for 90 mins atleast 4 times a season get away with it.id like this to be thrown out by the sfa but what are the chances of that actually happening? And as for people sayin hes not good enough or whatever is complete nonsense, every player has bad games in thier career.i still think boruc is still one of the best in the world,im totally confident he'll get over whatever problems he may have and be back to the boruc we all know.

An excellent letter, mate. Unfortunately, Gordon Smith will merely grin smugly at this and delete it.
Hypocritical, cowardly, intellectually challenged people in positions of power will always try and convince themselves that they are right and everyone else is wrong.
If your letter had've been a foul-mouthed, ill-thought out, grammatical disaster zone, it would be the toast of Mount Florida.
The fact that it is concise and as close to the truth as is possible will only make Smith et al retreat further into their shell of ignorance.

The Boruc affair is an exercise in reminding Celtic once again of their place in the pecking order of Scottish Football.

Kinda * that the daily rangers and other papers for that matter catch pictures of Artur stickin the finger to the manky mob yet not even one of the scumbag papers catch Rangers fans Banners about Tommy burns, Not one of them mention the racist chants about naka, the papers even say that it was banter between boruc and the scum fans but banter is shurely when its between friends n that and as artur has said before he HATES the scumbags, talking about someones wife is not friendly banter specially from those * imbread *

In some biographical thing he did he speciifically said he isnt religious. It was even posted by a regular on some Celtic site a few months back. I just cant remember where. Also, his general demearnor and behaviour would be rather odd for a devout christian IMO. Not exactly Tommy Burns type vibe from our Artur.

Its irrelevant. Players have always understood they cant react to fans no matter what. He is immature.

this incident is all about player self control. What the fans sang is irrelevant. Every player has always known they have to have higher standards than the lowest element among the fans and not react. A Rangers player is also expected not to react to Orange B and other attempts to wind them up. As Ghandi said an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. IMO, its is a great attribute in a person to be able to keep cool and not stoop to their level and react when all else are behaving like barbarians. In fact its one of the most basic Christian ideals if we are talking about faith.

What Boruc did wasn't justified, but I believe very strongly that Rangers fans were much more in the wrong in this situation. If you aren't going to punish the fans, then don't punish Boruc.

Yes I am sure the fans said really bad stuff but it was always this way. Fan wind ups are partly based on genuine Neanderthal ideas and some of it by decent people on the wind up. But players have always understood that you cant react or you have to take your oil. Also, Artur has courted controvesy like no other Celtic player I can remember. He has loads of previous. Why the same guy all the time??

Its hardly his religion seeing as a majority of Celtic players have shared that religion but not had the same problems. BTW, if he is a devout Christian then he shows it in a very very funny way. Tommy Burns would be a more normal example of a devout guy.
