Boruc was at fault for the goal on Sunday

No way is he at fault there he sees it at the last second and it bounces of him I'm not his biggest fan but come on blaming him for us not getting a point is way ott cant believe I had to watch they * bouncing up and down again for the sake of our man of the match getting blamed for us losing .

 

* sakes! That shot was smacked at him through a ruck of players with other players standing about 2 yards away from him and right in the middle of the goals. I suppose he should have held it anyway. He was MOTM on Sunday by a street, give him a break ffs.

Why don't we just blame Artur for the * weather we've been having lately while we're at it.

You're probably one of the last people that I thought would make a thread like this. You're being incredibly harsh on singling out Boruc as the main cause of the goal.

The ball clearly dips and bounces before it reaches him thus making it much more difficult to control, I think it's the dip that took Boruc by surprise as he was bracing to take the ball straight into his chest but it came up at him.

Unfortunate goalkeeping but definatley not his fault.

 

There's no way Boruc should be blamed for the goal. He saved our bacon a few times on sunday, and with a lesser keeper we would probably have been beaten by a bigger margin. He got MOM for a reason and was worthy of it.

 

If Fortune had scored it would only have been an equaliser.
If we hadn't brought Simple Sammy on, but had brought a striker on then maybe it would have been too late for them to equalize.
If we had better defenders the corner would have been booted into the stands in the fashion of Caldwell, McManus, or Robson...

As a goalie myself, I think he could have done better. You are taught 2 things when starting out. Always try and prevent the corner, and never parry into the middle of the goal. If he had played the ball to his left side he could have gathered it, but the ball went into the middle of the goal and super poacher was ther with 2 attempts.

But if the ref had balls in his shorts rather than a sash under his top, he would have sent off Bougherra and it would have been different

 

If he didn't scoop it behind him then Boyd would have kicked it in... so I don't know what you're getting at

 

Minty. How can you blame Boruc wi that shot 8 players round him and 2 yards away from goal line. This is total pathetic mate he was the best player on the park that day and all you fans that think Boruc is still awful pfffffffffffft watch the game agian please!

Boruc played fantastic, can't take that away from him. I have to agree though, Boruc was definitely at fault for the goal.

Boruc at his best, saved us points on many occasions. Boruc played fantastic on Sunday but again, there's no doubt he was the cause of the goal. Boruc at his best put points on the board by himself, without the mistakes.

 

Think Minty is doing a bit of fishing here.

am a keeper an if anyone tryed to blame me for that theyd get a boot rite in the baws after the saves he had previously pulled off

boggera had a shot fae about 12 yards was very powerful went fru keanes legs and boruc had bout .5 of a second to react and done well to keep it out was just unfortunate that boyd is the type a guy that banks on the ball rebounding like that and hung about, but if you ask me it was 3 good point blank range saves from boruc from boyd before it rolled to edu,so not a chance was that his fault

i'b be askin how boyd and edu reacted before anyone elses did in ma team

He was by far our best player on the park at the weekend and the result would have been a lot worse if it wasn't for him.

maybe the fact we didnt even get a corner? or the one shot on target we had? Celtic were * on sunday. we were playin a must win game, drawn 0-0 and rangers put pressure on us in the last minute? whats that all about? we deserved to get beat on sunday, if it wasnt for boruc it would have been more than 1 goal. I agree boruc could have done better with the first shot, but i cant say he cost us the game. even just before it, ki who was marking bougherra was about 6/7 yards away from him, so the shot should not have even made it as far as boruc.

 

unmitigated, reactionary pish! Boruc, who I have been critical of in the past whn his head is not in it, was terrific on Sunday and was one of few players who could hold their head up. He made a string of world class saves and looked unbeatable, before being beaten in a scramble in the box having twice made saves to keep the scum out.
