I suppose you could always argue it was in "bad taste" ... but the more important question, imo, is if he has a right to, and there is no doubt that he did and does. I'm neither Catholic nor Protestant and saw nothing offensive wearing a shirt with the face of a stand-up guy on it.
People who were "offended" by it are immediately exposed as bigots and scum of the earth if you ask me. Those people would do better to stop aiming all the energy at hating something, and devote it towards something positive -- just like the man who Artur chose to honor.
But I'm preaching to the choir here, so... [/rant]

i didn't say it was wrong him wearing it, he is allowed to, my point was he shouldn't have, as it would have caused trouble, yes its there problem they are bigots, but how would you feel if your son was murdered on his way home from the game, because of this ?

the scum that jump about murdering tims after games are not doing it because boruc wore a t shirt mate....they have been murdering tims and beating them to an inch of their lives long before boruc wore a pope t shirt....thats just silliness now. The people that do that are very psychologically * up mate they are extremists who think their way is the right way and if your the opposite of them then you deserve to die. Even if some get wound up by him wearing it and set about a few celtic fans why should boruc get slatted for wearing a t shirt these people would do this regardless and to say they would not lacks insight mate the people that do this are extremely nasty bitter people.

dont see the problem, he is expressing his beliefs. if thts the case lets have a go at every player who blesses them selfs when they enter the pitch, any person who has a skull cap or a veil. Its bigoted people who see it as a problem...

Boruc is a grown man and can wear whatever he likes. It is not up to anyone
else to decide if wearing a certain garment is the right thing to do, I'm sure he
thought about what he was doing before the game and decided that is what
he wanted to wear. The people who have a problem with some one wearing a
t shirt with the pope on it are not worth worrying about.

People like that are always furious mate which is why they can flip so easily so the t shirt has nothing really to do with it, these people would go out there way to look for a select few who are in the wrong place at the wrong time and set about them. I have friends who are celtic fans who live in bridgeton and going to a home old firm is torture mate in fact even just a normal home game coz after the game win, loose or draw for the huns and you will always get a group standing about the umbarella at bridgeton waiting on straglers and if they suspect your a tim for whatever reason they would not think twice in taking the face and throat of you now thats the kind of people that moan about boruc...complete bigots !!! nutcases even...tho id not like to offend the mentally ill as they canny help it, but these folk just have complete hatred of catholics running through their veins mate and boruc wearing a t shirt would make no difference to what they would be looking for after the game. in fact huns like that go to celtic park purely just to spout their anger and hatred towards celtic and the catholic faith and come the end of the game they have themselves so worked up that they have snapped and the first tim they see cops it !!

He done it to get a reaction. The more bigott and intolerent eyes that see it, the bigger the reaction. * sake it was all over the papers saying he shouldn't have done this. Why not?
Because the bigots won't be able to control themselves at the sight of the pope, incase they riot?

Personally, i thought it was funny as * because we all no they were raging over it, and we did win 3-2 that day. I wonder if he has anything else planned to wind them up, or stick to the usual blessing himself, they love that.
I don't think the police would care for your safety, seeing that hitler had an 'ethnic cleansing' program and your wearing the t-shirt.
