Boruc new contract talks.

Great news.hope he signs it and stays for a good few years yet.

 

Capable of brilliance but a proven bombscare in recent years. 8 or 9 high profile errors over the last 2 years is too many for me Id cash in.

 

Agree, he was one of the best keepers in the world between 2005 to 2008.



If he had signed in 2008 then that would have been a fair enough comment, as he's been nothing short of poor since then.

Does this mean he'll stay his for remainder of his career and become modern legend of Celtic FC? If so, I'll be wetting myself.

 

For next season we need to be keeping our best players and building on what we have instead of selling them off and replacing them with inferior players.

 

Great news, having a good keeper in goal gives the defence confidence, the fans love him and he has shown the real Boruc with his performances over the last few weeks. Still only 30 so we could still get a good 4 or 5 more good seasons from him

Whilst I feel it is good news, I must admit I was very surprised to hear tell of this. I do think is a fantastic keeper, always have done, but like any player, he is not immune to criticism.

It could be a ploy to increase his market value, similiar to the one we saw with Petrov prior to his departure. It makes financial sense, after all. And then it could be that Artur is looking to take another step in his career. Most 'keepers tend to be able to play into their late 30's, and many of the big European clubs tend to have 'keepers with the type of maturity & experience that Boruc has.

Either he stays and we get to keep watching a high quality player in action, or he moves on and we get decent money for him. There is no downside here. Either way its a win-win for Celtic.

 

Was thinking the same. I reckon we'll keep him but I wouldn't be disappointed if we punted him for decent money.

But isn't it a coinsidance that he starts looking intrested and playing well when he's in talks to get more money.

 

Pleased with this, Zaluska is a good deputy but I think given the choice almost everyone would rather have Boruc between the sticks. He has only just turned 30 he could have another 5 or 6 years left if he keeps training hard. Best keeper I've ever seen at Celtic.

You're either blind or stupid, or only started supporting Celtic about a year ago.
