Boruc, Forster or Gordon

I think Boruc was the best all round goalkeeper but Forster was the best shot stopper.

 

Fra Forster. England's best goalie IMO.

Boruc made an absolute * of it semi-regularly. Forster was a beast.

 

My opinion is that it's close between all three, but Forster is the best quality goalkeeper overall. It's no surprise that the Barca players were quoted as saying that he should sign for them after his performances in the Champions League.

 

Forgot about this with Boruc. His lifestyle inevitably led to him making some big blunders.

Boruc for me. Some of his acrobatic saves were phenomenal. And his whole passion for Celtic along with his hatred for the Huns makes him my all-time favourite Celtic keeper.

Forster was sensational but his height often let him down when shots were directed at his feet. The Juventus game springs to mind here.

I can't fault Gordon though, he's top class.

Amazing that we've had three world-class keepers in a row.

And don't forget David Marshall!

 

Forster is one of the best shot-stoppers in the world, but he never looks comfortable coming off his line.

Boruc was outstanding, but prone to some shocking blunders.

I haven't noticed any major flaws with Gordon.

Boruc and Forster were both capable of pulling off unbelievable saves that only the top goalkeepers have any chance at reaching, while Gordon is the most well-rounded and reliable of the three.

It's actually really hard to justify saying that any one is substantially better than the others, they're all great keepers.

 

I have followed, supported, & watched Celtic for more than 50 years now, and saw a lot of good, great, & class keepers, I've also saw a lot of ordinary keepers, & a lot of duff keepers, but I am of the opinion that the 3 keepers mentioned in this post, are without doubt the best 3 keepers I have saw keep goal for Celtic. The best tho has to be the crazy man himself, ........ the one & only Artur Boruc

 

'Be interesting to see the age of some( though not all) of those that are more critical of Boruc.

 

Forster

 

Gordon's just a fantastic all-round 'keeper; quick off his line, good shot-stopping, excellent distribution. Better than Forster, for me, but I dunno about Boruc. Pretty close.

 

Boruc for me- he was an absolute legend who was acrobatic vocal and had a * back 4 ahead of him. Forster was amazin and did it in big games at big moments. Gordon has been a revelation and depending on european performances has a chance of beating the other two.

Forster. I've loved all 3 though, been blessed with goalkeepers since Douglas.

 

Forster for me. Remember when he started and couldn't kick a ball for *. Grew to love the big man though.

Might ruffle some feathers here, thought Boruc was a great keeper, but wasn't a huge fan of his antics to be honest.

 

Forster at his best for us was outstanding.

 

Definitely Forster. By some distance too.


Would have Gordon slightly above Boruc.

 

Gets too much of a free pass from Celtic fans about his complete lack of professionalism, just because he wound the huns up.

Undoubtedly a great goalie for us for a while but let himself go in a big way towards the end of his Celtic career.
