Listening to Terry Brooks' Landover series.

Lighthearted fantasy books. Starts with a 40 year old Lawyer in Chicago who lost his wife and unborn child in a car accident years ago. His life was work and drink and he only had one friend. One day he sees an ad in a catalogue 'Buy a magic kingdom for $1m' or something like that. So he does! And all the books are about his time as king.

I only downloaded it because my favourite Narrator reads it. Turned out good, though.

The amount of good books ruined by terrible narrators.

Finished a re read of Neil Lennon's biography Man and Bhoy which takes you through his playing career. Talks very openly about his battles with depression and the anti Irish racism he had to endure while playing for Celtic.

The Idea of Israel - Ilan Pappe

Started it before but found it kind of heavy going.Really good book. He's the authority on The State of Israel as far as I'm concerned.

*, predictable. Saw the so-called plot twist before i finished the second chapter.

Started reading Gone Girl as i've decided to see what the fuss is about. Bit odd as it's told from the perspective of the guy and the diaries of the 'gone girl'.
    Will persevere.

Got Keane's book on Tuesday and had it finished by that night, couldn't put it down. Some of the bits in it are very funny, like the bit where he says how that when he'd go into the other managers for a drink after, the conversations were very formal and fake, but after beating Fulham one of the times Hodgson and his assistant were just like 'We are *'. :smiley-laughing002:He really can be an awful * at times though.

As a manager I get the impression he has a fairly simplistic philosophy, the way he describes the signings he made and the way he set his teams up wouldn't give me much confidence in him as a manager tbh.

Finished a re read of Irish Hunger edited by Tom Hayden. It is a series of essays by various Irish people from different walks of life and their reflections on the Famine. I cannot recommend the book highly enough. Very emotional read at times.

Thinking of getting the new Luis Suarez book, I've heard good things about it. Almost might start reading the game of thrones books.
