Finished The Strain yesterday, loved it. I'd highly recommend it.

Going to start the second book in the trilogy, The Fall, tomorrow.

Finished the second Game Of Thrones book, A Clash Of Kings. Similar to the first book, the last quarter of it is * amazing, everything falls into place. Tyrion is the best character obviously.
The more I read of the GOT books the more I am convinced you cannot just read the books and you cannot just watch the show, the books flesh out the backstories and history of Westeros, but the show fleshes out characters that are in the background of the books. Joffrey is barely in the books for example.

Now reading Carlo Ancelotti's autobiography as it is significantly shorter and lighter. He's really funny and self deprecating as well as being a world class manager.

Finished a re read of Peter Berresford Ellis's The Celts. More of an overview introduction type book on ancient Celtic culture but very interesting all the same.

Has anyone read or thinking of reading Thomas Piketty's Capital in the Twenty-First Century. That and Biocentrism by Robert Lanza and Bob Berman are the two books I really want to get tore into this Summer. Don't know if reading Piketty's maybe a bit ambitious. :smiley-laughing002:

Just starting reading the book "Lockdown" about a guy I know from my hometown (well, I know his brother a bit better tbh.) who is convicted to jail in Alabama USA for 30 years after he killed a guy when driving intoxicated.

Similar cases where given a 5 year sentence by the same judge. Guy had everything going against him. Being foreign, killed a sherrif's son, son was drunk also, said he went onto the sidewalk with his car but had no real evidence, had an incompetent lawyer who said he would be out in 5 years, judge was just bin the running for re-election etc. Shocking case, but very interesting book.

Still not got round to it actually- quite intrigued by it right enough to see where he takes the story.

Finished a re read of Peter Beresford Ellis Celtic Myths and Legends. I like how he has the book split up into sections for each of the different Celtic countries.
