The dialogue is great in his Jack Taylor books.

Just finished Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Identity. Really enjoyed it. If an action/thriller espionage read is your thing you will enjoy this one.

read some of them, putting photo from the film version is misleading at best as books I read were not set in mobile phones age

wasn’t complaining about you man, I expected books to be like films but ones I read were set in 20th century when I was expecting something set today so thought I should mention it in case others made my mistake

No worries Jake all good. Totally get what your saying. Watched the Bourne films a long time ago and thought they were good action flicks too. As usual though the books are better.

Only thing i can say is, go in blind with this one. Really enjoyed it - 8/10.
Found out afterwards there is a TV series to go with it, so going to start that tonight.

Finished Lies My Teacher Told Me by James Loewen. A really insightful look at the lies US kids are taught in their history classes and the how and why it happens and its obviously negative effects.

Finished Prince Lestat by Anne Rice book 11 of 13 in her famous Vampire Chronicles horror series. I have been a big fan of the series and while this was a decent read it was not of the high standards of the previous books in the series for me. It seemed like she was doing a set the stage for winding up the series book to an extent and given there is only 2 other books left for me to read in the series that may be exactly what she was doing.

Sleepers. It's brilliant, have actually had to slow down a bit because I don't want to finish it! Can't wait to watch the film again once I do.

Finished The Immortal Irishman by Tim Egan a biography of the remarkable Thomas Franics Meagher from his turning away from a life of privilege during the English genocide of the Great Hungar in Ireland to his time in the prison colony of Van Dieman's land to his escape to the US and becoming a Union general in the civil war and governor of Montana. A truly engrossing read cannot recommend it highly enough.

Finished Michael Connelly's Dark Sacred Night. A crime thriller from his Bosch series and another enjoyable read from the series.
