booing after todays game

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by ether67, Sep 1, 2012.

  1. with your lackadaisical approach to supporting CELTIC WHO HAVE BY FAR THE THIEF'S SHARE OF MONEYS COMING IN and cant get to grips with the other teams in this league is a disgrace mate BUT why should i keep telling you WHEN you accept second best all the time. the SFA are no friend of ours and should be made to get the results stuffed up there * for the duration of football. only winners have I any time for.

  2. This

    Pretty please

  3. Strange, because you have constantly insulted members of our team who won the league last year, who won qualification into this year's Champions League, without being handed it like most national Champions.

And it's also strange because you are a complete and utter loser yourself.

  4. WAS THIS THE SAME TEAM that got * out of 2 cups you are talking about and who did we beat to qualify for the champions leauge, you will find out, the jury is still out with that result why is this so much of a great result in your eyes, as i dont like been second best, and I will let the team know. If you dont value our team winning all before them, you have no case to say anything, as you are content with what you got. but i want more.:celt_2::celt_2: and hate any team in the spl getting one over us with slack play.:celt_2:

Without trying to act smart over the internet, I genuinely struggle to decipher what it is you try to say most of the time.

You clearly aren't much of a football fan. When Manchester United won the treble in 1998/1999, there were 16 league games they didn't win that season, and got knocked out of the League Cup by Spurs. If you were a Man United fan, you'd have considered that season a massive failure, then?

Not everything always goes to plan, as a football fan you have to accept it. Accepting that does not make you less of a fan. Criticising the team for not winning every single game ever makes you an idiot, which you are.

  5. again we have the defeatist attitude listen mate, we have no * to beat up here at all, should we play, and be warned of our play why should we not say to the team to get the finger out for 1 1/2 hours of work.
don't care about man u, and that has nothing to do with what we play against, 1 cup game you loose but not 2 and it being a final.

  6. you fail to metion in 1967 we won every thing and extra cups thats more than man u ever done

  7. Even the great 9 in a row squad lost domestic cup finals. Need I remind you of a certain LC final in 1971...?

  8. I would never usually throw insults against somebody on the internet, but I make an excpetion for you because I'm convinced you're either anti-Celtic, a troll, or both. Like most others, I'll probably just ignore you.

On the slight off-chance you genuinely are a Celtic fan then come on mate, stop being so negative about everything all the time, and give the team the praise they deserve.

  9. So just because you go to the game you can disrespect Lenny and the team by booing them after a bad day, but just because a lot of people don't/can't manage to get to the game they can't give an opinion on these idiots that boo?

That's almost like saying that anyone who doesn't go to games isn't a "true" supporter and their opinions and views don't matter.

I think it was more of a disgrace to boo the team after only our 4th league game of the season and Lenny having to field a make-shirt team due to injuries. Like I mentioned in an early post - it's not like it was a title clinching game.

I remember this time last year when people were starting to call for Lenny's head and wanting rid of him. "Fans" booing him & the team, saying we were *, saying we weren't good enough etc, yet look what he and the team done between 15th October last year up till now.

Yet here we are, back to morons booing the team after having a bad match :87:

  10. Don't think the team were getting booed, the performance was.

Even at that it was a groan more than a boo, having been there. Wouldn't find me booing but there was nothing wrong at all, it wasn't as if there was mass unrest just audible frustration which I myself felt as well.

  11. I actually blame you for us not winning yesterday. :icon_mrgreen: You just had to go and say "We always hump Hibs when I'm there".

  12. That was a facepalm comment!

  13. If we hit a pattern of four or five poor games on the bounce, then I understand vocal discontent, that's human nature. Booing players, many of whom are young guys starting out on their celtic first 11 career, it's * poor at this stage. The manager picks the players, the manager makes the decisions and the manager has a twitter account, so I'm sure notice will be taken if people voice their opinion in droves via there without being abusive trolls

  14. Was definitely booing - from where I sat, it sounded pretty vocal especially from the Jock Stein Area.

  15. Mate, it was definitely booing not groaning.

  16. Never seen the game but if the previous comments are correct, then its very disappointing to here. Last season at the Sion game I had an argument with a older gentleman on this topic; he booed Samaras everytime he touched the ball and when Lenny was making subs(like others did when he wasn`t taken off). I asked him what was the point in booing and all he could answer was the manager was clueless and he could boo if he wanted (never heard a cheep from him on other occasions after that).

I can`t for the life of me understand why people do this, when those out on the park are doing the best for the club. As for Saturday we had a few youngsters in the team and its harsh on them; also from viewing the highlights it was a freak result just like last season. These young lads will be inconsistent in performance and have to be given the backing of the fans.

For me booing is a short-sighted reaction and does no good for anyone.

  17. I thought the booing was in the minority to be honest. I certainly didn't do it and I think there was understanding from most supporters that we fielded a very inexperienced side full of fringe players and up and coming youngsters. Booing in general doesn't bother me (had we fielded a full strength side I'd understand it) but I also think some fans expect to win every game which simply won't happen.

I thought our first half performance was excellent bar the finishing, and once Wanyama went off we fell apart as we lacked others to do his job such as Kayal, Brown and Ledley. In truth it was a bad day at the office up front and at the back by a makeshift side, nothing to get overly worried about.

  18. Have to agree, from where I was sitting (110) it was clear.

  19. Boos sounded quite loud, maybe folks were booing the ref cos in the 2nd half there was a good few decisions we missed out on, poor show booing at all considering it was a draw not a defeat but I suppose the way we let a comfortable lead slip TWICE out our grasp made it seem like a defeat.

Celtic fans are simultaneously the best and worst in the world btw :56:
Brilliant and loud as * but as soon as one little thing goes wrong it's armafuckinggeddon.
