No offer of anything near what has been reported came from Wolves and no confirmation of any contract details from any club have been made public.

What are you basing this statement on?

Quote from related article nobody has offered close to his current wage according to this report. I am not saying this piece is correct but it has not been dis-credited like todays lies printed in the Daily *. People need to wait until they are in full knowledge of the facts before jumping to conclusions.:47::47:
Wolves blast ‘bid’ for Celtic’s Balde : Express & Star:
"Balde has a year left on his contract and has been offered a free transfer by Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan. But he has so far refused to go, and is believed to have turned down offers from Sunderland and Birmingham of £15,000 a week.
Wolves believe they are being used by a third party to attract interest in the player."

Getting past this part, what are the pro's and con's of us offering a financial incentive to any potential suitors in the future, just to get him off the books? I'm presuming the powers that be will already have discussed this, just surprised nothing has come of it. WOuld rather lose a bit of money now and save a lot over the next year...

If some folk want to believe pure fiction as todays Daily Record story has proven to be then that´s up to them.:38:

P.S Daveybhoy your idea makes total sense to me, Celtic so clearly want him of the wage, then why not contribute to his departure to help a deal go through (maybe closer to the window closing Celtic may well try something like you suggest). The only problem I see with any sweetener offered, is what exacty that offer may entail. I mean would it be a one of contribution or would it be wages related. If it was related to wages then for how long do we subsidise them for to push a deal through. Bobo is looking for more security than a 1 year deal so anything more than that would probably make little economic sense to Celtic.

maybe, but the fact remains he wants to hang around for the big money every week!

and i know its our fault for giving him such a contract, but hey where i come from you, 'don't bite the hand that feeds you!'
