At no stage has he declared that he's staying because of family reasons. He wants to be paid off like Gravesen but Celtic just want him to move on a free transfer.

By his comments to the media and McLeish's, hes looking to be paid off then sign for Birmingham for very similar terms to what he was on here. He's a money grabbing *. Most players would jump at the free transfer

BTW, in answer to Martin - He is legally entitled and technically he is keeping his contract but legalities aside he is guilty of insisting on hanging around when clearly not wanted by the manager and an ever increasing number of the fans even when he has very decent offers. Its not a legal issue but remaining when not wanted is generally seen as a bad thing. He will be more unpopular than he was ever been if he strays another season. Hes a relic from a different age and a different type of football.

If its a family thing then OK fair enough you cant blame him but I am not sure about it as he has never said that. Fans only care about the club anyway and right now he is dead wood and an obstacle to bringing in players who would improve us. No fan will be happy with that and I would be surprised if Bobo doesnt realise that if indeed the feeligns of the club and fans concern him.

I cant think of any other player who hung around for so long when clearly not wanted except Thommo. Its very strange when both Scottish footballs guys who lingered for ages taking the money long after it was clear they were unwanted came from the same team and were given idiotic contracts around the same time. That is shocking mismanagment. Thommo in particular was very poor after Seville and was still around until last season. It was entirely predictible he wouldnt be firing on all cylinders deep into his 30s as he always was suspect in terms of fitness - I think I remember MON commenting on TV about the fact he was a heavy smoker.

He isnt going to say that because he wants the severance package. Gravesen didnt moan once but left once offered even though he could have earned a fortune by seeing out his contract and getting the 1.3M loyalty bonus on top of his wage.

We know Birmingham have make a very good offer, its meant to be very similar to his current wage. Nobody is disputing that fact in the media or otherwise.

Did I jump down Gravesen throat like this? No, but the tactics played by Balde equal one thing and one thing only. The spin he's putting on this is laughable.

He is a disgrace to the club. He could have left a great serrvant now he will leave as a player holding the club back which is exactly what he is doing.

A want him off the wage books 2 m8 but what a dont understand is how we will only sign 2 players if he goes we are celtic we should have the money there to spend.
