bobo back in 2 weeks!!!!

Excellent, cant wait for the big man to get back, hes the good strong defender we need at the minute. Caldwell's confidence is starting to increase so we'll see if that can continue, but unless in the next two weeks he can put in world-class performances, he should and will be replaced with Big Bobo.

 

Bobo must be brought back into the team. The big man has made mistakes in the past but he is still a massive player with heaps of experience. His presence at set plays will help us alot as we have not looked good in that department this season. Gary Caldwell will do for me as defensive back up this season, he still has a lot to learn IMO. our defence is stronger with bobo he is big and strong but he ball watches to much as in he always watches the ball and not what is happening around him

I think mcmanus needs a very good partner with him or he does'nt play aswell and it gets blamed on the other player

I think we should try playing like caldwell and bobo or caldwell and kennedy and see how it works out

Murphy you aint to swift, show me, (I`m from Missoura) LoL, where I said McManus has no faults, I said he is twice the player Balde is, and would be in my team way before Balde!

When a team say Celtic have a suspect goalie, say Douglas, oh dear, well fuckups happen, fatal ones, resulting in goals for the opposition, another example Tom Boyd about four years prior to his retirement, had the distinction of OG`s scoring more goals for the opposition than for Celtic, and that was only one of HIS problems on the park.
Well my point is with Balde what you see is what you get, and that is * blunders!

Thats not all that matters ffs, winning games especially important ones eg CL or the one we didnt thanks to Balde being redcarded, the UEFA Cup Final!
Balde canny play fitba, at the gym, bench pressing 400 lbs, doesnt help to give you fitba skill that is NOT there!

 

I know your opinion of Balde. But the statement that McManus is twice the player he is is just plain stupid. Sure you like to over-exaggerate to emphasise your point but that statement is just silly and makes you look silly in the process.

If you keep clean sheets, you cannot loose hubert. Thats the main objective of a defender incase you dont know

 

McManus will play for Scotland, he is not a refined player by all means, but he is agressive and in my opinion a trustworthy player, and is scoring goals, I like that.
Again your reply post indicates that you are anything but swift, my comment was an emphasis, ie, twice the player, in other words, there is NO way in * would I play Balde ahead of McManus.
Celtic currently at times are in the game because of players cat Celtic like McManus, bring Balde on bring him on, theres no way will he keep us in the game, today and from now on.
Oh haud on yes he will have a good game once in a blue moon, but thats NOT good enough, consistancy in any sport let alone fitba, is crucial!

Balde and McManus are our best centre-half pairing at the club. If you consider Caldwell to be a more consistent and reliable player currently than Balde then I'm wasting my time debating this with you.

 

I am very aware of that, Balde is and was part of the Celtic sieve so your comment about more clean sheets is irrelevant, and remember if the score in a league game is 0-0 thats the loss of two points!

 

I honestly cannot believe you rate Caldwell over Balde. It's just daft.

Bobo has his faults but he played some cracking games in Europe, one against Bayern in particular I remember. And he did his part in getting us to Seville (you seem to forget we defended our way to that final, not attacked) and if it wasn't for him we'd have been 3 down at half time coz Porto raped us in the first half.
The Lyon hand ball was a f@ckin pish decision as well.

More importantly, he scares the * out of the rest of the SPL, something Caldwell certainly does not do. We need him back and he'll go straight in when he's fit.
