We'll be lucky to get £10 million for McGeady, there's no way any of the EPL sides will pay some of the figures being banded about on here.
Could see a possible money plus player arrangement, although I'm not sure that McFadden would be the ideal choice.
We do have McGinn & Maloney as cover, but losing Aiden just now would be a big blow.

    DO NOT SELL.

    1: Best player.

2: Only player who gets the crowd off their feet.

3: Nearly all our goals go through McGeady.

However every player does have a price.
    10Million + McFadden.

    I would not sell though.

He's worth about £10m tbh and nothing more than that.
Wouldn't sell him now, wait til the summer and make sure we have a replacement lined up.

After signing Michel for 3m he was quoted as saying

"We looked at Michel last year and we thought he was a player who would fit in with the financial parameters of the club."

so i can't see him really going mental and splashing out a huge amount of money for McGeady

you'd have to be crazy to sell mcgeady. even if we sold him to finance a "solid team" that team is still going to need game winner players like mcgeady so why not keep the one we raised for free? that solid team is going to need expensive players regardless

If it did happen would we not have the right to expect re investment of a signifant amount at least £20 milion or there abouts, thats still giving the money men a £5 million profit. We would be in a completley different situation from the last few seasons so to me if he did go it could happen.

I think anythng 12million or over, I would consider selling. I think McGinn can do a job there for now - we need cash for a striker and another CB, 10-12 could bring in two quality signings.

Wouldn't like to see him go.

Sell him for £10-15 million :50:

Personally I would rate him at £7 million max but we need to make good money on him so ask for at least £10 mill

sell him, we are a selling club, lets not beat about the bush, we could never buy a aiden ready made, we have to find a aiden, anyhow Celtic are only interested in wining the league. we haven't got the finance to do any damage in Europe, haven't anything to support it different, there is a comfort zone in parkhead and we are at that level win the league and we are all happy, get in the back door of Europe happy days for the investors but should we have to qualify every year we would find out money talks,

i would swap for Faddy n Larsson and 10 million they want something that we have so they will have to pay through the nose IMO....Also Cahill from Bolton hads been linked with a 10/15 million move then surley a proven International with Champions league expeiance should be woth more than that.

    Explain?

I wouldn't sell for any price, because no matter what we get it wont be completely reinvested in one replacement so why sell him to end up with something worse (assuming he's not kicking the door down to leave). It's not like we NEED the money. Aidan is our best player and we're 7 points behind the huns. Would be crazy to sell him now.

No doubt the usual English arrogance will come through and they'll offer £6M or something.

Listen guys we have to have a modicum of rationale here!

Do we wanna lose Aiden? No way, and certainly not at this stage of the season.
however he is one of our few truly saleable assets, and would certainly command a higher fee at the moment due to clubs desperation for players, than he would in the summer.

He's on a good contract so we have time, but i have the feeling that either way this is his last season with us, so building a team round him is a bad move i don't want to lose him he's the only player that is truly different and entertaining and we certainly dont have a replacement Maphoney is a waste of space for me and i much prefer McGinn coming in from the right but money talks obviously we would like a stratospheric offer to part with him but certainly anywhere near 15million he's gone like it or not i'm afraid.

the main concern from there is that Mogga gets the vast majority of any fee accrued, to spend on the team.

as always we await the white smoke one way or another.

    Hail Hail

I agree that if it did happen the way you outlined we would be due some big time investment , but there is no way in this world would the powers that be sanction spending that kind of dough. Also its been mentioned that a "solid team" would need match winners and again I agree however who is to say that the next generation or whoever that money might buy or even a Mc Ginn or Mc Court wont be that match winner. Cash in as long as its silly money then build with it is my opinion but for those who are too insular I underline its only my opinion
