not really but i think a few words from lennon to brown to attempt more shots may pay off and put his confidence up with a few goals .

Hopefully he'll score tonight as he'll be able to get forward more than he does with Celtic. Scotland won't use him as a holding midfielder like we do. In fact, he's Scotland's main goal threat recently lol.

Nothing new then? When Celtic field two wingers and two attackers it's near impossible for Brown to play any other role than this. Last season it was N'Guemo and Crosas in midfield and I don't think they scored many either.

Broony can barely pass the ball in a straight line at times and you want him to take digs from outside the box? With the way our "fan mindset" is at the moment, he'd get slaughtered and would be the new Samaras in no time.

He's been playing well recently, but he should learn to walk before running, so to speak.

He doesn't score enough, but who from the centre of midfield does? Over the last 4-5 years the majority of attacks are focused on the wing, and our wingers scored a fair amount of goals.
It is true Brown couldn't hit a coos * wae a banjo, but he would be given more oppertunity to get a shot at goal if more play was focused not just on the wing but adding more into the centre. It's been noticable the last few weeks that there is more in the CM and a good few moves and goals have came from there.

Jaurez has already scored a couple for us from Cm, i see him as the midfielder who will push up and grab the goals, brown may get a few scruffy ones from corners etc. But with Juarez doing most the running and our goal scoring work, allowing Brown to play deeper and not worry about scoring, Or even better, dropped.

drop brown *. He's easily been of our best players this season.
He's not much of a goal scorer.. his stats tell you that. Stop trying to make him into something he isn't. Lenny wasn't a goal scorer.

    True unfortunitly :54:.

Brown provides no balance in midfield. No player can complement his work cause he's neither a defensive midfielder or an attacker. He's a box to box midfielder in the sense he has the energy to do it. Not that he defends and attacks. The sooner he is dropped the better in my eyes. I think Ledley Juarez and Kayal complement each other perfectly in a three. Kayal defensive midfielder, Ledley Box to box, Juarez attacking midfield.

So now he doesn't get assists because the chances he is creating the strikers are intentionally missing?

Do the Scott Brown lovers realise how desperate their excuses for him have become? :97:

Firstly (and I to agreed with this one) he had family issues.
Secondly, he was thrown back in when he wasn't fit.
Thirdly, we didn't play the system which utilised him best whereas Hibs did and Scotland do.
Fourthly, he was given the captain's armband which has tapered his ability just to focus on football.
Fifthly, he does that much running covering for his teammates he can't concentrate on his own game.
Sixthly, he has never had a settled partner which complimented his style.

Now you're telling me he is creating chances but they're just not being put away? What's next? He is scoring loads of goals but they're being deflected in by other people therefore not counting as his?

To be frank I couldnt give a * if he never scores again, he's started the season very well, an if he can maintain his effort on the pitch creating chances and others put the ball in the net il be delighted

Aye he'll score for Scotland and then we'll be told again we're not using him correctly.

For Celtic, he'll probably score a double away to Forfar in the 4th round of the CIS and suddenly become the new Kaka.
