I wouldnt say he was actively looking to leave, he certainly had his head turned by Bayern, but when it was clear that they wernt interested and that Bobo was staying, Strachan never gave him a chance.

Strachan would have seen him every day in training and has the right to pick the team he thought was best to win games. Which he thought was Caldwell and McManus.

I would say he was actively looking to leave, read Strachan's auto-biography, there's a bit more about it in there. Bobo was definitely looking for a new club that summer.

Even so, one of the ''biggest * in world football'' purely for collecting a tidy package for a year, which he was offered by MON, he was fully entitled to do so.

aye he wouldn't be on my list.

I didn't like it in the sense that it took a chunk out the finances. But he was a decent defender for celtic in his prime

Sorry guys, guess I'm just a bit bitter about the whole situation. I appreciate how he played for us, just wish he would have left when he wanted to.

I too wish he went earlier

at a time where he got offered a pay-off, and was told he was finished at celtic. I think the fans would have gave him a decent send-off following that

Bobo was a great player for us. Never refused to play and always did when asked. One of his last games was against Dundee Utd, when WGS had no other option but to play him. We hadnt kept a clean sheet for something like 19 games. Bobo comes in and we keep a clean sheet. Didnt play again.

Season we got to Sevile he was the clubs player of the year as well.

His situation was badly managed by both WGS and Peter Lawell who approved the contract. WGS should have played him more.

    I know mate,

    Me too Zander

but I think it may have worked out better for Celtic if he had left when offered the pay-off as he was finished at celtic. I am not going to rant-on over him taking the money though. Because, plenty would...

I would've said Ronaldo, but I was too quick to judge him I think. After watching an interview with him and finding out a bit more about him I actually respect him and admire him I suppose.Excellent footballer.
Same goes with Drogba, would've said the guys a * in an instant but the work he does for charity would suggest otherwise, and I feel different now.
Both have some questionable antics on the field but oh well, that's the way the game is played abroad.
