    There is a theory that the less human something looks, the more disturbing it will be to a human being. Two things set off this evolutionary alarm bell - "nearly but not quite human" ie corpses, clowns etc and "utterly * alien", ie Spiders, which have eight legs, eight eyes, walk on all eights and lay eggs - they are as "alien" as it is possible to be.

    If that theory holds true (and I think it does) then that's your answer.

    Good answer man, because out of all things in the world i'd say arachnophobia is the one most people have

    Really why the * so many legs, fair dooz with scorpions probably helps in sand but why the * 8 legs!! Just creeps me out plus seeing that stupid * film when i was younger didnt help
