Finished band of brothers. Really loved the early episodes but thought it wasn’t quite as good from the half way point on. Still an amazing story and makes you feel like you’re watching what actually happened. Top class show an easy 9/10 mini series.

Til this day, nobody can convince me theres been a better TV series than BoB.

Watch it every single year over the christmas break and never tire of it.

BoB is immense! The Pacific was decent as well but Band of Brothers was right up my street. I was playing CoD UO professionally at the time, when I saw the Carentan episode I was gobsmacked. So many maps taken from that series. Winters though ............

It was one of them programs that educated me in the absolute horrors and top brass * ups that lead to young men being sent out to die, every soilder axis and allies gained my respect after watching it, so much so I went with a bottle of whiskey and schnapps and poured it where no man's land was (albeit it was more for the lads in WW1) nothing to do with my upbringing just pure sadness and respect.

Like Einstein once said, wars are started by old men, fought by young men. Wonder when the world will wake up.

    1. The Wire - Portrays life on the streets of Baltimore, good representation of the gangs, police, junkies etc
    2. Breaking Bad - A high school teacher and his apprentice cooking meth in the desert absolute gold.
    3. Gomorrah - A dark and gritty show about the Camorra, full of shifty characters and total scumbags, a non glamorised organised crime series.

The reason a picked these 3 is because they made the setting and places they are based in the best character of all, Baltimore, New Mexico, and Naples, you felt really immersed into the environment.

Started making my way through Better Call Saul. I'm really enjoying it but I remember hearing and seeing folk say it was better than Breaking Bad. Not a chance, it doesn't come anywhere close to hitting the same heights.

I thought that on my first watch-through, but it does creep up on you just how well written, directed and produced it is. I've watched it through a few times now and think it's a very close call.

Probably still give it to BB but BCS is outrageously good as it playes out.

I am really enjoying it, but Breaking Bad is the only tv show I know of, that even several years later, still has an episode rated 10/10 on imdb after hundreds of thousands of votes, and the overall rating for Breaking Bad is .6 higher. BCS hasn't hit those heights. The writing in Breaking Bad is outrageously clever, so many little subtleties that are easy to miss. Although I know it's subjective, but for me Breaking Bad is still superior.

Have to say 1883 was a fascinating watch, thinking how mental it still was in the wild west 140 years ago. They nailed it with casting and the set, the sense of awe and loss was proper heartfelt, choaked up a few times watching. Would happily watch again and would definitely recommend.

Better Call Saul has a much richer supporting cast. Not many folk you root for in BB but you find yourself genuinely concerned about the likes of Kim, Nacho, Lalo, even Huell Babineaux.

I never got that with BB. Everyone was an absolute *.

I still loved BB but there was many more layers to BCS. IMO.

For gamers or non gamers, League of Legends Arcane was just sensational artwork, parts of it you don't even realise its an animation.
