Watched 3 series of Sons of Anarchy when i was ill for like a week, can't believe people rate it so highly! It's awright, enjoyable but really really cringey at times, especially Jax. Saw it more like an * soap than anything like The Sopranos

    My best ever - Sopranos

I looked this up, it ended on episode 8 of series 3 in 2008. Did they just stop making it? Or is there an actual ending?

Reading some reviews on it, it sounds good.

Won't mention any comedies, since there are tons of great ones.

    X-Files
    Twin Peaks
    24
    The Shield

Haven't seen The Wire, Sopranos yet.

Great programme and not coincidentally made by the creators of The Wire. Treme is also very good - it's a very different focus to The Wire but anyone who liked Generation Kill and The Wire would get something out of it.

Read up on this, love this kind of stuff. Sounds great, and most of the reviews on IMDb are excellent. So i don't understand why they cut the show after 14 episodes. No point in me even watching it.

Read some reviews on this aswell, sounds good, loads of action.

There is no ONE best show for me.

Drama/Sci Fi - Battlestar Galactica the remake
    Comedy - Spaced
    Animated - Ugly Americans
    Web show - The Guild

Can probably end the thread there now I've educated everyone and gave them their new best shows ;)

American's seem to be pretty impatient when it comes to TV shows.

I'm fussy as * so don't really like that many drama (sci fi, epidemic, religious etc). Unfortunately what I do like tends to be cancelled :( Like:

    Carnivale
    Firefly
    4400
    Flash Forward
    V (remake)
    Caprica
Blood and Chrome (Didn't even release pilot)
Heroes (Can actually see why they cancelled it, tOO many * episodes)

The Wire is ridiculously overrated. Load of drawn out nonsense. Not my cup of tea.

The V mini series was entertaining (even if the effects are a bit dated from today's perspective)
