Almost finished the first season of House of Cards, really enjoying it.

Kevin Spacey is superb in it, hilarious at times.

Yeah Walton Goggins is a brilliant actor - funnily enough he is also one of the main characters in The Shield (Shane) and is equally impressive in it.

I need to give it another go, I got bored half way through season 2 - didn't really do that much for me.

Waw never knew that about Julian shooting his wife, that's mad! Just read about it there he's going down for life.

Not seen The Wire or American Horror Story, but seen Boardwalk Empire and thought it was superb. But am struggling to pick what one was better of they two overall.

Boardwalk Empire didn't have a season as good as The Shield season 5 or 7. And The Shield had a much better finale even though Boardwalk Empires's was very good. The Shield probably had the 2nd best ending of a tv show after Breaking Bad for me.

Great actor but his character in Sons Of Anarchy * annoys me. He plays a ladyboy:56:

If you haven't seen the wire, drop everything you are doing and start watching it immediately. You can't properly contribute to a 'best tv show' discussion if you haven't seen by far and away the best piece of visual media (film/TV) ever made. It is that good.

haha I forgot he was in Sons, I like the ladyboy character.

Side note - saw this earlier in the season: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416337738.627353.jpg

Knew he was in it but didn't know he was one of the main characters. Going to start watching that after I finish Sons of Anarchy - which he is also quality in.:smiley-laughing002:

Didn't think I'd like House of Cards because it's really just about politicians.

A have loads of tv show box sets as I collect them, a few of them a haven't got around to watching yet. The main ones being The Wire , OZ and Entourage. Bought The Wire of Gumtree about a year ago for £15. Will maybe start it after am finished Spartacus.

That hoodies minted wouldn't mind one of them myself, saw an old dude wearing one fews ago coming out of Asda minus the Glasgow slogan on it.

Loved Dexter. You'll hear a few people say they didn't enjoy the later seasons. A thought they were all brilliant. Seasons 1-5 were being pure class though.

Dexter went on too long I think. Loved the series but it's peak was season 4 which was outstanding.

The only season from the last 4 I really liked was season 7.

From season 5-8 , A thoroughly enjoyed season 5. Probably rate those seasons from best to worst...

    5, 7, 8, 6.

6 was the weakest of all the seasons for me. Season 7 had a great big shock finale.

Probably has been mentioned, but I'm a newcomer, Deadwood was the best I've seen.
I've read lots about the west, from Zane Grey to Larry McMurtry, and Deadwood
had a real feel of authenticity.
Also never realized that Ian McShane was such a good actor.

A mind you told me to watch that before saying it was brilliant. Never did though, it's recently just been put on the UK Netflix.

A don't doubt it'll be excellent but sadly because the sound of the story, a doctor saving lives(am sure there more to it though), doesn't seem appealing to me as much as shows that a haven't yet got around to like OZ a jail programme, The Wire police drug gang * or Vikings.

A will watch it one day but it's away down the list:50:

You'll be glad when you finally watch it. Not on the same level as Breaking Bad and SOA but a brilliant show.
