I still reckon Conmons for that.

Aye, I meant out of that list of players in the poll. I still think Griffith's could easily top the scoring charts if he gets his fair share of games this season.

Possibly, he'll be doing very well to top 32 goals in a season though, even Hooper only got 31 and I don't think he's anywhere near his calibre.

For me, it depends on how many starts he gets. I think if he starts regularly in the league he'll be hitting quite a few.

There's no guarantee he'll be given the opportunity though, is there?

He deserves it too, what with his new hair and all that.

I'm happy with Griffiths' playstyle. Can't remember the last time we had a fast, direct striker with clinical finishing and the ability to actually pass. Lennon did well bringing Griffiths in and he has formed a great partnership with Stokes.

So will commons though. In his 4 seasons with us he has scored 14, 1, and 19 goals so I wouldn't think 32 would be incredibly likely again.

Agreed. He got that sum last season because the team was shaped around him to get the best out of him, I doubt Ronny will do the same.

Well there you go lads, point proven. Yous can close the thread now:56::56::56:

Of course he would have the better record at Celtic, Griffiths just joined. What a silly statement tbh.

Griffiths is a better finisher, Stokes probably just edges it as a player overall.

Aye and a should think so Oisin, Stokes has been settled here for years. For Griffiths short time here he's played excellent, made assists and scored goals.

Can't wait to see him after a pre season under his belt, there is no doubt in my mind who the better player is. Thumb!

Aye all right smartarse, mind you don't split your sides.

We have seen Stokes do his stuff in a Celtic shirt. We have seen how he handles playing for the club.

Griffiths has just started playing for us. Some people can handle playing for a big club, others can't. We'll see how it goes. This isn't hibs or wolves. It's by far his biggest club and the pressures affect people in different ways.

So, aye. Stokes is the better striker at the moment. Whilst you are the better stroker.

    Simples. :shamrock:

I really don't see how it's mad, but fill your boots. I thought I gave perfectly good reasons for it. Griffiths is just in the door and I have yet to see enough of him to consider him a better striker than Stokes.

Watt may turn out better than Stokes or Griffiths. But until we see him actually do it in a Celtic shirt over a longer period of games, then it's impossible to come to a reasonable conclusion. Same with Griffiths.

All seems pretty straightforward to me. Hoping that's ok. :shamrock:

Well a thought your mad reason was utter * and stupid. Hope that's ok:shamrock:
