Tbh i have very little confidence in any of them and id say thats the worst set of strikers weve had for many years.

Stokes - think he is overated by many. some nice touches and goals now and again but nowhere near consistent enough. Done very little in Europe

Griftths - Didnt want him signed and more bother than hes worth i think. Good pace and decent at spl level but cant see him cutting it in Europe but we'l see.

Pukki - I think he has good potential and is a technical and intelligent player. Looked good around Christmas and then Lennon dropped him. Should suit Deilas style and hope he gets a good run in team. Coming from Schalke hes obviously got something.

Watt - I dunno about him......would maybe give him another chance but wouldnt be that bothered.

Balde - had hopes for him early on but they have since faded

All in all i think we will be fine at domestic level with what we have but a good striker is badly needed if we are to count in Europe.

Unfortunately, I'd have to agree with most of this.

I think going into the Champions League/qualifiers with those strikers as the only options would be frightening. I think signing at least one striker is vital this summer.

    Definitely.

Out of our current strikers, right now, I would say Stokes is the best we have.

    I'm not picky.
Would definitely say Stokes, especially his all round play. 21 goals and 15 assists across all competitions for last season...13 of the goals in the last 15 league games.

Think Griffiths would be a close second.

Finnbogason is the best at the club. We just don't know of his arrival yet.

Mint opening post. I would say stokes, his work if all to often overlooked.

All of the above have a role, with balde, watt and pukki yet to be further exploited.

Griffiths for me, always playing on the shoulder of the last man and harassing the opposition when they have the ball. Hes also our most entertaining player to watch imo. The goal against hearts and the middle goal in his ict hat trick were just absolute class. His left foot is sensational aswell. Hes always a threat coming into the box from the right side.

Stokes for me is a bit inconsistent and imo isn't nearly as skilled as some on here seem to think.

Just find it hard to believe Lennon would drop any player who is looking good .
I would have thought it was in Lennon's interest to pick the players who were playing well. Maybe Lennon didn't want the team to do well.

Stokes. Not just a finisher, has more to his allround game than the others IMO.

Have to laugh when fans use the "done nothing in europe" argument. How many times has he actually started?

Contrary to what many to believe, he also works hard for the side and creates chances for his teammates. I'm sure if you looked at the stats he would have some of the highest assist rates during Lennon's time here. ILTC always has those...

I do agree that maybe another striker is needed for Europe but at the end of the day the chances have to be created in order for that striker to score, if the players behind him aint doing the business then it doesn't matter how good he is or how much he cost. If we were creating enough clear cut chances in Europe then I'm sure Griffiths or Stokes could cut it, at least do get us into the group stages which is all we can really ask right now realistically.

Has to be Stokes. Griffiths or Watt could easily take up that mantle in the next year or two, but as it stands, Stokes is the most proven and has more diversity in his game than the others.

I think If Watt is given the chance and keeps his nut screwed, then he'll become our best striker, by a distance. Big If

    Depressing options...
Don't wanna sound bitter but there must be alot of championship clubs with a far better Stoke force.
Coin toss between Stokes and Griffiths, I went for griffiths

Talent wise, its Watt, with Griffiths and Balde coming in behind him, but they are all unfinished products so to speak.

Stokes is a great SPL striker nothing more and Pukki is *

Stokes - wasn't even remotely a difficult decision.

He has been better than Griffiths so far and Tony hasn't been here to judge. I think Pukki could become a good player but hasn't settled yet. Balde... I don't know, think he needs loaned out like Tony and we will see what kind of player comes back, hopefully not Bangura.

Stokes at the moment but next year it could be Griffiths. We really need another striker though. Facing the qualifiers with our current strike force is a daunting prospect but having this strike force in the group stages would mean another campaign with a small tally of goals again.

Stokes for his all round game but Griffiths looks like a superior finisher.
