La Lanterna in the West End for an Italian. Plenty of footballers kick about it - Sir Alex was in not long ago and was a favourite of Bitton’s when he was here. Random trivial point but got sung happy birthday by Dave King and some other Hun director when I was in a few years back :54:

Chakoo is cracking if you like an Indian curry. Plus it’s small plates which works good as well.

Peri Peri Hub next to the Hoops Bar/Bar 67 when u need a takeaway scran when your down the Gallowgate and half cut after a game.

Never tried it to be fair but always seemed pricey when folk in my old work used to go, and the fries were *. Plenty of places can get a decent burger for nothing like that.

Their cajun style fries are nice i think but it's definitely a knock that place..

Had it a few time's but never a place I'd rush to go back..

I love eating out in restaurants. I've been going to Glasgow since 1984 and all I can think of any restaurants in Glasgow I've been in has only been wetherspoons and a Chinese takeaway sit in. It's always to much drinking, chippys, takeaway Chinese and kebab shops although I have been thinking lately to try something different with less getting steamed because it's always the same thing with * of hangovers. Not that they are enjoyable trips but the older I'm getting I've been thinking of definitely doing something different. Good thread for next time I'm over. Thumbs up!

Where have people eaten Indian in either the city centre or the west end?

As much as I love an Indian takeaway, a sit down meal is not something I do as much as I would like.

Looking for somewhere nice for me and the Mrs. I passed by a place just across from Kelvingrove Art Museum and it smelled * incredible. Canny mind the name of it now.

Swaran in Bishy is also superb, Bishopbriggs is becoming the Indian food capital of Scotland. More of a fancy feel than the Darbar.

I’ve been scranning out the Delhi for nearly 30 year right enough and it’s been consistency excellent and is still amazing value.

Not been to Shenaz for a few years but used to go regularly. Still the best Indian food I’ve had.

The last few times a was in Glasgow ave been going to that Thundercat Bar, they do these cauliflower bites that are soaked in hot sauce * immense, the apple crumble with waffles and cream is something else. The deep dish pizzas are worth checking out also. Huge portions with lunchtime and cocktail specials.

From the ones I’ve tried personally it’s between Amore and Eusebi’s albeit that’s a bit different as it has the deli section.

That chip shop on the left hand side walking under the bridge from Tollcross up onto the Gallowgate.

Manky as * but by the time you've done all the Celtic pubs on the way back down from the game, it is delicious and nothing will convince me otherwise
