Best Celtic striker in recent years

BBJ over Sutton, only because they were both legends but Sutton seemed to get injured and awful lot.

 

Aliadiere (2 apps 0 goals) has more votes than the once 20-goal a season man Maciej Zurawksi.

Yeah... well that's pretty obvious. It's why I didn't include him.

 

Sutton was a class act as was big John. But I think as out and out strikers go, WSMcD is gonna be hard to beat. Hope Im proved right.

 

Sutty....no question. BBJ was good, great even. But
Sutty gave us more....much, much more.

That was a tough one !!

Went for Sutton, cause I though he was a quality striker, although he got the nod for the way he played in Midfield/Defense with such aplomb. I would say he is better than Donati in that role, and was better than McManus at Centre Half.

BBJ was tremendous, truly, but I think injuries hampered him from being a true, TRUE, Celtic great.

Skippy may actually prove to be the man to win this poll, but one season does not a legend make.

No doubt Bellamy was as talented a player as we've had in the last 20 years, discounting Larsson and Lubo, but after only 6 months,I didnt consider him.

Thats enough, going to drink beer !!

 

Better than McManus at centre half? Nah, he was good considering it wasn't his first position but you can't compare him to a real centre half.

 

I voted for Sutton, sure BBJ was a great striker Sutton edges with his attitude, and as many of you have pointed out Sutton lifted the team whenever he was on the pitch.

 

i voted Sutton, because i agree with the comment above, the first thing he said was " I am here to pure Rangers in there place". Anyone who says that, becomes a hero of mine. But he showed that he wasn't all talk, he did, on numerous occasions put Rangers in there place.

 

c'mon we all know this is between BBJ and sutty. I'll go for sutton even though he scored less goals because he scored his fair share, could play just about anywhere and just oozed class

OOH that was a tough one between big john & sutty, but i went with sutton. Both gave their all in the hoops, but enjoyed watching sutton more.

 

Hartsons the best goal scorer there. But sutton was a unbelivable player. Awesome. So sutton gets my vote

 

Was gonna choose BBJ but that would have been heart ruling head. I love the big fella to bits and he bleeds Celtic but for ability, quality and the knack of being able to make space both for himself and Henrik, there was no equal.

I still consider Sutton one of the classiest players we ever had the good fortune to see wearing the Hoops. Guy could play anywhere on the park and look the part. Never let anyone bully him, never shirked a tackle and always looked up for it......oh and scoring on your OF debut automatically writes you into the unofficial hall of fame

 

I picked Chris Sutton. John Hartson was a close second though
