Best celtic goalie over the past 14 years?

Was he aye. Was that when Buffon, Casillias, Van Der Sar and all that were injured.

People view Boruc through the strongest green tinted glasses out there.

 

Boruc, Gordon, Forster in that order, credit to Zaluska as well for being a good understudy for the last few years

Naw,you are ofcourse entitled to your opinion.

No one is saying that he was better than Yazin or Banks or Buffon,but by *,not only was he the best Celtic keeper I have ever seen,but for a couple of years when we had him,he was up there with the best ever.

Just my opinion.

 

Boruc for the period before and around the euros in Austria/Germany was one of the best keepers out there..

He wins top spot easily for me here..
Big forster was great here at times but i genuinely thought he was well overrated and Boruc was the all round better keeper..

if we are going on their ability not their time at celtic i would go Gordon he isnt better than Boruc was for us atm but at stages in his career he has been better and has the potential to be better still

Boruc was good but was hardly professional in his time here..we had had loads of pish before him which makes people think he was better than he was actually..coupled with the Holy Goalie stuff..did love him tho..

 

I disagree on Boruc..

He admits himself that he became too comfortable here and put on the beef but he wasn't always like that..
He was a top keeper who could perform against the best about, he was also or rather became an entertainer at Celtic with the blessing etc and he was also not bad at sticking away penalties
At the euros in Germany/Austria he was being lauded and rightly so and was fantastic for the.most part at one on ones and such a presence the way he came out and made himself big ..
The huns hated him so that's good enough for me and the big nutcase hated them

 

Naw Boruc was great.

Gordan was fantastic before his injury,and so far for us has been fantastic also,I hope the kid stays fit for I always rated him.

When NFL renewed FF's loan deal most thought he was a fool,but Lennon evidently seen something most did'nt

He was good at one on ones...

And he did hate the Huns etc... Which I think makes us favour him more..

However Gordon and Forster are or will be better..

I always knew Gordon was a top keeper but i never thought he'd be this class, sensational
Piece of business and it shows how well he's done in such a short space of time after career threatening injuries had him out years, that we're talking about how good he could/will still get/be..

 

Boruc was unreal at one stage, possibly as close to a world class player as we've had since Larsson left.

 

Gordon could be the best piece of business for a long time.. So happy for him too..

Forster is still very young but will end up at a top 4 club... He need to learn to command his box better if he can get that right he'll be England no1...

I'm just glad we have Gordon...

 

Forster has not improved on commanding his area since he first came on the scene with us ..

Watching van persie score uniteds second last week proved he's still abysmal in that department, infuriated me watching the biggest Celtic keeper i remember * scared of collecting a cross off his line..

Gordon was exceptional business, a top keeper out and an even better one in with nearly 10 mill pocketed, outrageous deal..

 

Nah, that was when he was on the shortlist for fifa's world goalkeeper of the year in 2008 along with Buffon, Casillas, van der Sar and Cech. So as I said, aye he was "arguably" the best in the world at one point. Also he made the best save I've ever seen a Celtic keeper make against hibs.

 

Boruc was world class in the sense he wouldn't have looked out of place in a Champions League winning side. He probably could have been in goals for AC Milan instead of Dida for the 2007 final if things had worked out differently.
