Mine is up with EE at the end of next month. Might look at going with the Full fibre 150 but always thought talk talk were garbage. Is this a new service from them?

How does this work. I checked the City fibre website & it's says it's not in my area but can get it through talk talk in my area.

Did the talk talk actually show the 900+ speed. When I saw belbhoys msg I checked and the speeds through talk talk here were lower than I currently get.

My streets were all dug up for weeks last year and that was the lines going in, if thats not happened at yours it's definitely no available.

Gigabit broadband is supposed to be very reliable. Sky have a guarantee of a minimum of 600mb/s. 900mb/s is the average speed.

Does the average household really need internet that fast?

It is overkill. The site has wee examples of things that can be done on it, how quick to download etc. Theres an example and it says you can have 36 people streaming films at once... :56:

It's only a tenner more than I currently pay for 63mg.

    It definitely seems strange.
This is what it quoted me for speed here

    Download Speed

    5.57-9.51Mb/s
We guarantee you a minimum download speed of 4.34Mb

    Upload Speed

    0.73-0.85Mb/s

That's abysmal and my line already does better than that so I don't think it's accurate. That was speeds I got in 2001.

    BT are becoming EE

BT, Sky, plusnet , Vodafone, talk talk etc all use openreach lines so depends on the infrastructure in your area for speed.

I get 900Mbps with BT- truth be told I upgraded from 300Mbps and you don't notice it unless you speed test

I bit the bullet when a deal came up for their top package for 30 quid a month. Had it a couple of weeks and it has been very good.

That picture is of a hard wired test on my laptop.
