We've no chance of signing him though. He'd want at least £30 quid a week & our board have a cap of £27.50 pw.

 

I'd check out other players in the South African squad. I remember watching them in the confederations cup and thinking that a good bulk of their players looked to very good. I was surprised that most of them were still playing in South Africa and not somewhere in Europe.

id take mccarthy hes 32 but still good for a couple more years , not sure about the price tag though

 

£2.5m for a 32 year old is way over the top for a player who can't even get into a crap team. Nobody was interested in him - that should tell you something!
