And this leads me to think that you are absolutely deluded.

Disappointed with the performance tonight, during the Sky coverage they showed that Benfica had 28 attempts, which summed up our defending, although I thought Kelvin Wilson had a good game with Forster brilliant again.

We couldn't get our passing going at all tonight. Referee did us no favours and they put in a few strong challenges. Not sure I completely agreed with Lennon's tactics and subs.

Losing Wanyama and Brown for the last game is a blow, but I'm still hopeful we can do it, seen as Spartak have nothing to play for.

One of Lennon's comments on Brown though "He'll need surgery after tonight" I thought, well why play him then?

We played bad and they played well. Nobody is denying it, we also, inexplicably, had 3 half fit players in midfield and a half fit player up front.

Not such a bitter pill to swallow. We've got a second chance, ....and I'm confident we'll put on a show against Spartak.

    ...can't wait.

Very, very disappointed. Feel bad singling out Hooper, but he did nothing. Clearly was not match fit. Should not have started.

It must be contagious then as I do believe I'm showing signs of the same.

    What is to be done?

    Quarantine? Debate maybe?

    agree!

spartak have 3 points from 5 games, dont know why people are * themselves about them,a packed celtic park wiith the possible prize of a last 16 place will be enough motivation for the players, will be nervy as * but celtic dont do things the easy way,2-0 celtic! 3-1 barca!

Playing brown was a massive mistake put massive pressure on the rest
of the team... Woulda took this position when the draw was made..
Benfica would gladly swap places with us.. Barcelona will not * up benfica
Play exactly like the teams barcelona tear apart week in week out.
Make no mistake we are the only ones that can * last 16.

Worst performance of the tournament by far. Hopefully we can do the job at Parkhead.

They have luisao , ( really good brazilian defender ) john ( dutch international ) pablo aimar ( argentine international ) garay ( ex real madrid and argentine international ) salvio ( argentine international ) gaitan ( argentine international ) and cardoza ( top class striker, surprised benfica still have him tbh ) so I would say they are a great team, not to mention the fact they made it to the last 8 last year and got put out by the champions.

Spot on mate. It really saddens me when I see our own fans slagging off the team. I can understand if we lose at home to Dundee or something but not away to Benfica. Every last one of us should be proud of how well this team has done this season (and last even) to be going into Europe after Xmas and a real chance that'll be in the CL.

I think we're out, I can see Benfica beating Barcelona's reserves.

    Ambrose? Really?

    * *, made some amount of clearing headers and last ditch tackles.

When we were shaky as anything on the ball at the strt it was Ambrose who got his foot on it and started trying to get us playing, was my Man of the Match after Forster and Wilson.

Evening guys, just came from the stadium.

There's not really much to say about the game: we played better football, had
more goal opportunities and, in general, i think we won fair and square.

I was impressed by the physical strength of scottish players - some really looked American football players...- and, of course, Celtic supporters were simply awesome. It's not everyday that away fans manage to be heard on Benfica's stadium.

On a final note: the referee was a disaster for both sides.
