    If you aren't already aware a point v Spartak will take us through if Benfica lose in the Nou Camp (which they should), irrelevant of this game and Spartak v Barca.

    Scorewise I could take a defeat here but I really want to see the swagger in the team we've shown so far in this group. No meek away defeats like our last two visits here. I still have Caldwell-related nightmares to this fixture in 2006.

    I'd just like to see us play as Benfica's equals, and not go expecting to lose and hoping to luck out with a draw.

    This is big.

    I know this isn't much different than most big cities, but having lived, and completely surrounded by Benfica supporters in the Corso Italia (which, oddly, doesn't have many Italians ... but loads and loads and loads of Portuguese) neighbourhood here in Toronto, I can't stress how huge this game is in certain quarters in this city.

    I mean, really, there's only a few clubs that can truly say they have the worldwide fanbase like these two.

    Mon the Hoops.

    I want them to win this game so badly (as you all do, of course).

    I don't know why everyone thinks we only need a point against Spartak Moscow in that final game, Villanova already said he'll rest his top players once top spot is assured: which means we not only need to beat Spartak, we also need to at least match the CP Benfica result in Lisbon (ideally a score draw or better) because I quite fancy Benfica to beat Barca's B team in their last match.
