More nervous about this game than Barca,they will attack quicker and more direct so hopefully keep the shape and discipline like Barca games and we should do it.
I do expect like previous post that they will play every dirty trick in the book..and some.
Thats what worries me most,some of our payer may get a bit too frustrated with their * but i am hopeful for 1-1 result to see us through

I dont think we should play mathews at LB. Whilst he did a good job defending against Barcelona, he's not going to be much use going forward and crossing the ball with his right foot. He dried a ball through to sammybin the barca game (similar to the lustig ball for Hooper vs spartak) but the ball ended up with the keeper because mathews couldnt get any bend on the ball with the outside of his right foot.

 

Having a look at a Benfica fans forum just now (Using Google Translate as my Portuguese needs work ) and the general opinion, as you would expect, is that they will win reasonably comfortably (a few people saying 3-0).

Apparantely we are over-confident due to victory against Barca which could act as a double-edged sword.

There were also a few of them praising our fans who are apparantely singing on the trains in Lisbon at present

Said on Sky Sports that Lenny said only 2 of Brown Ledley and Hooper will start, the other is a major doubt.

 

If I was to choose, I would rather have Brown and Hooper fit. I have a feeling though that Hooper will be the one to miss out

 

According the the Express its Brown who is the doubt of the 3, Hooper and Ledley have declared themselves fit.
