    Aye mate explain.so if someone has a rough season we should write them off.better not sign lampard or drogba then cos they werent up to much last season either

    CELTIC boss Neil Lennon is ready to offer Craig Bellamy a way out of his Manchester City *.
    Wales striker Bellamy will have to report back to Carrington for pre-season training next week - unless a club comes in for him.

    The Glasgow giants are showing most interest at the moment although they could face competition from Blackburn.

    Bellamy, 31, had a volatile relationship with Roberto Mancini for six months before he was farmed out on loan to Championship side Cardiff for the season.

    He is one of several players the City boss wants to offload and Mancini must decide who to take on the club's pre-season tour to the USA next Friday.

    Celtic would like to get Bellamy on loan, but any deal would depend on City being willing to pay a portion of Bellamy's £90,000-a-week wages.

    That could leave Blackburn to step in after they were knocked back by Roma's Mirko Vucinic and failed to agree a fee with Spurs for Robbie Keane.

    Listened to a report on radio on monday night where he has apparently told Man City that if they dont let him go back to Cardiff he is retiring.

    Unless Lenny can persuade him otherwise

    :50: He said the same thing in an interview on sky sports before Cardiff's play off defeat to Reading that if man city didn't want him then the only other place he would play is Cardiff and that he refused offers to go premiership teams last season but he only wanted to play for Cardiff as he wants to get them promoted to the epl.

    I've gone off the idea of signing Craig Bellamy. I would rather see us invest our money in a mid 20's striker who is good in the air and has a bit of mobility. If we could find a player like that they would be a great foil for Gary Hooper.

    Wouldn't mind him, but I'd hope that he won't be the only striker we'll sign.

    Saying this, I'd rather we spent the money used for his wages on Keane as I feel he would play more games and score more goals.

    If it's true that he only wants to play for Cardiff and doesn't want to play for Celtic or anyone else, then surely that's the end of what was an interesting but is now a rather dull story ?

    He's still a great player, and I would def take him but only on loan because of lack of re-sale value etc.
