    Neil Lennon will not come back to us for the simple reason he knows the situation re buying/selling policy also how can the situation be fixed now ? the transfer window is closed so the new manager would have the same players as Ronny and if its about the defeat to the sheep then i have nothing to say other than it's really hard to go through a season undefeated.

    That pretty much sounds like bias. Two similar situations but one is worse than the other to you, even though, like wicker said, Ronnie has in fact done better than Lenny in Europe in his first few seasons. How do you weigh that one up?

    Mate, that's all you do, which is the point some of us are making. You come across as someone who either; just plain doesn't like Ronnie for some reason or is so negative by nature that whenever there's a bump in the road you start off on one like its a 9 point earthquake on the Richter scale.

    What was left of Lennys team, you mean. Let's face it, all the real quality was gone and what was left wasn't in the best condition. And that's another thing, wouldn't you admit that Ronnies got the team he inherited into much better condition physically, etc.? Once he got the team sorted at the end of last year, we were flying and playing the best, fastest football we've seen for a while. It's natural to have a bump or two in a new season where the two best CBs we've had for years have left and have to be replaced.

    I think Ronny is a nice guy I really do and this isnt personal I am not like that. I think at this point in his career he is a loser who is learning lessons. That sounds harsh but it is how I see it. He has some good ideas and it is not all bad and in 10 years he could be a top manager. We have a "project" manager in our dugout. This is not a club where he should be learning his trade at. He has to get it done and if he doesnt then we have to be ruthless.

    I think that we actually look unfit at the minute. Honest to * we are conceding heaps of goals in the last 10 minutes. This could be down to the Stevie Frail rumour rather than fitness but we do look unfit.

    Fair enough, I totally disagree with that assessment of the manager and think it's unfair and also that your a bit too negative for your own health more than anything. But fair enough.

    Og1, you come across as though you have managed teams to glory all your life. I'm sure there's a * of a lot that goes on that you, nor most of us know about. What you are stating is your opinion, not fact. By all means be concerned, but at face value, there's a few things to consider;

    We lost to Malmö away. A bad night for manager and players, no one covered themselves in glory.

    We lost against Aberdeen away. Probably the toughest game of the season for us domestically.

    We have lost our centre halves from last season. We have replaced them but it takes time for the team to gel.

    We have played significantly more competitive football than anyone else, and to lose in Malmö will undoubtedly knock confidence.

    The fact is, it's September. We have lost 1 of our opening 5. We are in Europa league. All this " I can see disaster coming" is very premature. By all means if things are * come Xmas then we need to change but I think after last season Ronny deserves a bit of time to sort it. And I'm not a massive fan of his at all.

    Believe it or not I really want it to work for Ronny. I have lost faith in him based on the evidence I have seen though. He really needs to improve and fast though. He is making mistakes and not learning from them. This is unacceptable.

    Well I'm sure he will be gutted that you've lost faith in him.

    Just gets frustrating when I look through the different threads and you rehash the same negativity and foreboding in all of them with Ronny as the focus of all the negativity. It's your opinion that you're more than entitled to but it doesn't mean you're right.

    Course there's mistakes being made and we all hope he can address them, just think the idea of replacing him now is a nonsense.

    We have got a massive game on thurs, you do what you want but I'm going to be positive and look forward to watching the hoops in Europe, and support the players and the manager as best I can instead of throwing my inflated sense of self importance around.

    Evidence? You know the reason I like Ronnie? Despite the obvious disappointment of the CL exits, we still had European football after Xmas last season and two brilliant games against Inter, he also won a double.
    We have European football again this season in a great group with some tasty fixtures and the team will come together, it's almost inevitable given the focus on developement and improvement at the individual level aswell as the overall team.

    As above, the focus on individual development is an important factor in modern football that any club like ours should be good at through necessity as we should be developing players for us and to sell on, like Ajax, Porto etc.
    Ronnie is all about that and that's not to mention the focus on players being really well conditioned etc.

    You and Age Hareide (sp?) the Malmo manager keep pointing out actually Celtic players aren't fit. That's crap they are, it's just they didn't turn up for the second Malmo fixture or the Abedeen game for some annoying reason but it was not because they're not fit, it's ludicrous to even suggest that. Hareide was playing manger mind games, you just don't seem to not like Ronnie, despite what you say to the contrary.

    Spot-*-on, mate. :50::shamrock:
    The fact is Ronnie has given absolutely no reasons for anyone to be as remotely negative as og. Things could be better in certain areas but we will get there.

    You seem like a glass half full kind of guy. Fair play to you. I call things as I see them. I could lie or say nothing I suppose but where's the craic in that?

    So none of those acheivements means anything at all in your opinion? All that good stuff he's achieved so far? What's your opinion on that stuff, you seem to be avoiding answering.

    Winning the league is a minimum requirement. The cup is a bonus. Europe was a disaster. Like when we qualified from the Europa we only had 8 points and were kinda lucky if truth be told as other results went our way. Quarbag and Inter away were good. If we wanted to get a manager to do ok domestically while vastly outspending his competition then we could have rung the gardener
