We need to realise the football world we live in and you can't offer pennies for players from Scandinavia any more. We want 20mil+ for our top players so why can't they ask for £10mil+.

Wycombe yes * Wycombe have just made an offer for 6mil for some * who a year ago was playing in the Essex seniors league and has played for Ivory Coast at the homeless world cup.

Football is absolutely * but unfortunately we are stuck in this world so we need to move with it.

I'm not saying they shouldn't ask for that. I'm saying for us, €14 million on an 18 year old is alot.

We're doing well financially but we rely very heavily on the CL and sale of players for that. And given the next couple of years we're likely going to have to go through qualifier for the CL, that money ain't guaranteed.

I'm happy with how we're spending more, but I wouldn't expect us to pay that for someone so young and relatively unproven.

Comparing us to English teams who are or have recently been in the Prem is pointless too

 

Correct, what we need to do and buck our ideas up about. is getting the scouting right so we pick up the next ‘toure’ the season before, when he costs 500k
