Horrible time to concede a * goal, and * the ref but honestly so proud of the lot of them tonight. Tactics spot on, every player was superb and just so good a performance.

If that's the blueprint for next season then we will give any team a game, even with a tougher group phase draw. Brilliant but ultimately gutting.

Dunno what to say… should have made it to extra time but did we have enough to go another 30 mins? Who knows. Heartbreaking way to end it especially with Maeda down but yeah, have to be proud of the team. Valiant effort

Brilliant Bhoys. Should have beat them by a few tonight. Same at the end of the game at Celtic Park.

Incredible performance but in honesty the benches would of decided the game in extra time and they had more heavy artillery than us to bring on and result may have been inevitable...but man oh so close. What a performance

    * sickening way to go out. Bet we don't get a replay of how Maeda went down

Nothing but praise for the bhoys, as strong a defensive display as I've ever seen from a Celtic team and against one of the best in the game.

I said before the CL I just wanted to see progress in all honesty, because the step up in the Champions League is so big. Don't think anyone can say we haven't seen that and it's something to build on if we keep the majority of this team together and add more quality along the way.

Sickening way to lose the game but we were completely * burst there, had nothing left in the tank. Can’t be anything but proud of that team tonight.

We were the better team overall I thought. Immense performance. Should’ve taken at least one of the chances i. The first half and we’d be through.
If CCV just used he massive body to get between him and the ball rather than take a swipe with the wrong foot we’d be in extra time
Thought Schlupp, Engels, Johnston, Trusty, CalMac and Schmeichel was particularly good tonight

As numerous others have highlighted, to be disappointed after drawing away to Munich shows incredible progress.

Very proud of the team tonight.

Horrible way to go out but proud of the whole team for the effort, you’d almost rather get beat 3 or 4 nil than that, just felt inevitable towards the end though as we couldn’t keep the ball at all but thought we more than done ourselves justice over the 2 legs, few more signings in the summer and we’ll hopefully come back stronger next season

I didn't have much hope we'd survive another 30 but would have been nice to got a win in the 90.

We were struggling to get our half but our best European campaign for many many years.

It's gutting but I think we had to win before the whistle blew. I really didn't fancy us in extra time, we were knackered and their bench is far stronger than ours. Surely Brenden can now leverage this performance to get some more quality in the summer, especially in midfield.

Thought the ref refereed the game very well. It actually shows you how a game can go when a ref doesn’t get too involved.

But not stopping for Maeda is just complete ignorance of the rules.

That was gutting tell you what though I thought we were absolutely brilliant. Imagine getting knocked out by Bayern and being gutted we have came a long way .Spend a wee bit money in the summer and we will be a team other teams will want to avoid
