It was a terrific performance last night. Absolutely amazing. OK, we did get off the hook and Forster made some great stops but all in all against the best club side in the world, we coped very, very well.

Samaras coming off was a total nightmare. He was our outlet in the first half and had them a tad rattled at times. Brown had a great first half as well. So gutted he's carrying this hip injury.

Another thing, it sounds like a bit of a stupid thing to bring up but if Commons fires that free kick in the box at 1-1 who knows how the game would have finished. Barcelona just can't defend against height.

I`m lying here on the couch and i can`t get that f`ing goal to stop playing over in my head, christ knows how Neil is feeling.

Having said that i know there`s not one one of us would rather be anywhere else for we are Celtic.

    * that, we set out to play football. It may have been a defensive display but that's just Barca, they kept us hemmed in. We actually had Hooper and Commons/Sammy further up when Barca were attacking rather than having 11 men behind the ball like Chelsea and the huns did against Barca. Playing a team like Barca you're going to have to defend for the majority of the game, it doesn't mean you're playing anti-football. Any comparisons between Lennon and Smith are frankly insulting.

Anti Football my balls, we had Sammy and Hooper right up the pitch with a midfielder supporting.

Then Forrest on the right with Broony supporting, then whipped Broony off for Kris Commons and had him high up the pitch, we got pushed back but that's because how good they are. We were constantly trying to get out and trying to pass the ball about; it's just really * hard to do against them.

    Big Victor was amazing.

That last goal ripped my heart out, so nearly took a point but brilliant display against a superb team.

Any * stupid enough to call him that in my vicinity will be well educated on why he is a gobshite.

Last night we played the best football playing side in the world. When you play Barca you are never going to have lots of possession and you're never going to stop them creating chances. To get a result you just need to ride your luck and take any chances that come your way. We were set up to play football yesterday but Barca's possession play kept us hemmed in. Smith went there, played 5-4-1, with 5 CB's in the defense and 4 CM's in the midfield. He went there with the intention of parking the bus.

Devastated with that last goal as soon as I heard 4 mins injury time I knew they were going to get a goal.

A truly monumental performance from a young talented side.

And I wouldn't imagine myself saying this a couple of years ago but if Sammy stayed on I think that would of been the difference and we would have beat them.

Apologies, just was answering in kind...The OP asked if I was a Scott, Catalan etc....Just responded that I am a Yankee living in Switzerland and that I feel a bit of everything in my heart

Read nothing on Samaras' status but he rolled it pretty good...Could be anywhere from 2 weeks to a month

I'm just hoping it's not ligament damage, the way he done that it could be.

Aye, could very well be that 100%.

Think a strain of the ligaments would be the best thing we could hope for, as opposed to a tear/snapping.

I think Lenny said he'll be out for 10-14 days so he might just make it for the return leg. Looked horrific at the time but it's obviously not too serious.

Still feeling negative as * but on the whole we are sitting 2nd in a very strong group after 3 games so hopefully we build on that.

It did look bad from the replays but I thought the fact that he walked off on his own was a positive sign...Probably why there's been no news on it yet, sure he had an MRI...I imagine a status update is imminent

Would be a shame if he missed out, I really like the player...I take it Forrest is his direct replacement?

Did he get credited with the goal by the way? I've seen a few places saying Sammy and a few places saying OG.

I'm actually not sure mate, Forrest is a 'first team player' so you would usually see him, Sammy and Commons all playing. We change it about all the time though so it's hard to tell.
