Not so much, the two main divers in Alves and Busquets are out. Sanchez and Fabregas are the only other ones who go down very easy/playact. Messi, Iniesta, Xavi and co get kicked all day and try and stay up.

That's still two players who could get endless free kicks and half our team yellow-carded but.

    No.

    My team would be;

    Forster
    Lustig Ambrose Wilson Izzy
    Wanyama
    Kayal Ledley Mulgrew
    Samaras
    Hooper

With Sammy playing as a left winger but drifing in. Forrest could be vital at one point as an outball but, no matter what, our most important player is almost certainly going to be Forster.

Yup but they aren't players who are in possesion a lot of the time, whereas Alves and Busquets are. Fabregas is more of a run in behind player for Barcelona as is Sanchez.

    I hope you're right.

I suspect however we will be back here cursing that this or that was never a free kick or that this or that player of ours should never have got a yellow.

I like Barca but our solid style is an obvious weakness of ours they can and will exploit.

All we can do is go out and give it our best shot. We are on form and have finishers in the team so I fancy us scoring at least once. Lets hope the defence can keep it together and big Frazer plays a blinder.

Definitely need to flood the centre of the park and play narrow to try and stop Xavi and Iniesta from providing the service they can. Wanyama and Kayal should be glued to both of them the full game.
Quietly confident we can take something from this.

id like to see that side. hard working, reliable and solid as were gonna get.

as long as there are no injuries/suspensions then there are no bad outcomes. go out and give it our best and i think we could surprise some people.

Got a bit of a weird feeling seeing the thread title there. This is it now. The biggest game of Lenny's managerial career. And where better to prepare for this magnificent occasion than St Mirren Park? :icon_mrgreen:

Same team as against Spartak but Kayal in for Brown. Just need to keep it tight, defend for our lives, not allow them any time on the ball, man mark the * out of Messi, Xavi and Iniesta and take advantage of any and all set pieces that come our way. Ever the optimist, I'm predicting 1-1.

Wonder what odds you'll get for us to win. Reckon we'll be about 20/1. I have a sneaky feeling we might get a 0-0, however we could just as easily take a skelping.

The best team he has faced but not even close to being the biggest game of his career. We are massive under dogs for the first time with him as manager.
