I don't think I can say anything about the team that hasn't already been said.

Although I don't think Giggs was offside.

I also don't think Man U should have had a penalty.

And Messi's goal puts him one goal ahead of Ronaldo in all competitions this season.

I don't think Man Utd set out the way they should have last night. I respect Ferguson for the tactics he used, and it led to a brilliant game, but the only way to try and get anything out of Barcelona is to park the bus, and rely on counter attacks. Look at the way Mourinho's Inter played Barcelona in last year's CL. Man Utd could have done it, they have a solid defence, perhaps apart from right back. They have the likes of Park, Fletcher and Carrick who will work all day long. Valencia is really developing defensively as well. 4-5-1 was the way to go last night in my opinion. I know it's boring, and anti-football, but that was Fergie's best bet of lifting the trophy. Having said that though, even if they had gone with 4-5-1, it was almost inevitably a Barcelona win.

Words can't describe how amazing a team Barcelona is. Not only is every single player, including the goalkeeper and defenders, so composed on the ball, with a fantastic touch, and unbelievable control, but they also work so hard to get the ball back when they lose possession. It shows how much they want to win, that every Barcelona player closes down the opposition constantly, and in my opinion, this is what makes Barca stand out.

I can't say anything more about Messi that hasn't already been said. I haven't seen Pele or Maradona play, they were before my time. But it just doesn't seem possible that they could have surpassed the ability and talent Messi possesses. But I dare say Barcelona is still the best team in the world, even without Messi. The team just ticks. They work together. They have a formula, and they work with it. They want to work for each other, and the togetherness was shown when Abidal lifted the trophy in what was an awe-inspiring moment.

    But aye, Barca's nae bad.

I managed to blank the news and watched the match at 12am last night. Barca were immense, it must have been so frustrating for what is the second best team in Europe. Barca are way ahead United, Chelsea, Madrid, Inter etc... these teams are Europes elite but Barca are just a step above that and I just can't see anyone stopping them in the next couple of years. Amazing team and worthy of every bit of praise they get, simply superb.

Love it when over paid, over priced and over rated players get roasted and played off the park. Love listening to the itv commentators when utds getting stuffed their raging that someone is beating the winners of the so called best league in the world.

Utd chose the expected lineup. Not that it was a bad one its just I was able to guess waht it was going to be player to player. I was suprised ferguson didnt throw us all off by starting berbatov. United had no-one to hold the ball up in the final third and thats exactly what berba would of done.

Hernandez wasnt at the match which I felt sorry for him. You can take his season away from him though he has been excellent and will only get better.

That's the only thing they're on a level playing field with. :icon_mrgreen:

Messi's scored much more important goals in his 53. Can't be denied.

Loved every minute of that final watching Barcelona not just beat the English but completely work them over and play them off the park. Brilliant.
