He was my man of the match tonight. He is a phenomenal player. So under appreciated . On the ball and off the ball he is just brilliant.

It is great to have three top drawer players to watch, all young and all on top of their game (Messi, Rooney, Ronaldo). World Cup should be interesting.

Xavi is incredible, Messi is out of this world. Iniesta back as well, this team will take some beating. The passing and movement was incredible.

I'm looking forward to seeing them play Real Madrid this weekend.

i could only half watch the messi masterclass, was out having dinner with a burd so wasnt even looking at the tv :icon_mrgreen: though what a player that messi is, barca made arsenal look very ordinary tonight, its great to think we went there and won a few years back and arsenal crumbled even if barca are a far better side than the one we beat!!!

I couldn't believe what that bald biased hun Andy Gray was saying tonight, first he is going mad about Busquets committing a professional foul on Walcott then it was good play when Denilson (I think) did the exact same to Xavi (who was unbelievable tonight...again).

After this he implied that Barca are a one man team, before coming right out and saying it.

Then, when Eboue raised his hand to the face of Busquets in a certain yellow/red offence, it apparently wasn't even a free kick. If the same had happened the other way round then without question Gray would have wanted Busquets sent off.

Throughout the game Gray claimed that while Barca played the beautiful game they also knew how to "play the other side of the game" meaning they cheat.

I don't have a problem with Andy Gray during the Premiership games but as soon as its an EPL team vs someone foreign he becomes intolerable. He really got on my nerves tonight.

According to official stats, a stunning 90% pass completion rate from Xavi (95 out of 105 passes attempted). Messi steals the show and deserves all the credit he gets but Xavi is the real reason that Barca are where they are, his genius is still so unrealised by so many. I thought he was the best player on the pitch tonight, while Messi finished off the moves, Xavi created everything.

I will always remember the Spain vs England game (where the racist chants against Black English players were heard) as the time I realised how brilliant Xavi is.

He never wasted a pass that night and everytime I see him he is excellent in that role. He pulls the strings, Messi and Iniesta do the damage further up.

 

That really was a joy to watch. Arsenal are a top class side and play some great football. But Barcelona have to be one of the greatest club sides of all time. Arsenal just couldn't get the ball off them for long spells. Barcelona have so much quality all over the field.
