I heard for myself – which is why I am disgusted – there is no excuse, this is not something that has been twisted by the media or has become mistranslated.

    The reporter was Mark Benstend of Real Radio and he asked him how he felt about signing for a club like Celtic.

    Bangura replied saying that he thought Celtic was great, not because of our history, fans or tradition, but because we’re a mere launching pad.

    He then went onto say if he could make a move within a year then he’d be willing to do so.

    Of course I’m insulted – just as any self-respecting Tim would be.

    Ask me to speculate on what other players might be thinking?

    As I said already - I don’t have a problem with any player harbouring an aspiration to play in the EPL.

    But I will never tolerate a player brazenly announcing that desire in his very FIRST press conference for his NEW club. And to compound the issue, wanting the move ASAP.

    I’m pretty sure Kayal, Izzy and a few others may fancy the EPL. However, I’ve yet to hear them coming out and openly disrespecting Celtic Football Club.

    why because you have false dreams of grandeur time to wake up and live in the real world. your also perfectly happy to speculate about bangura not being interested in the club but not that the majority of our players see celtic as a stepping stone.

It doesn’t take a genius to work out that a player who announces his desire to move away from the club he has just joined, is obviously not very interested or committed to Celtic Football Club.

    It doesn't even mean much if the player has aspirations to move onto the 'bigger stage' in the future, it is about his character. How he conducts himself as a Celtic player.

    It was all the more gob-smacking that he would disrespect the club before the ink was even dry on his contract, and he's done nothing special to redeem himself since. Disgusting conduct from a professional.

    That`s * news for Bangura. We still haven`t had a proper look at him since he arrived at the club and perhaps a goal or two would have helped get his Celtic career going. All the best to him in his recovery and hopefully he comes back as the striker Henrik recommended

    Normally I'd agree but Bangura barely resembles a footballer, let alone a talented one, in the minutes he has played. Can't control the ball, passing is awful and generally looks completely out of place on a football pitch.
