Aw * off. How can MON be to blame for Balde still being at Celtic? Swim up to the real world again and don't go near the light.

:56:Bobo's problems always started when he tried to play football.
He's a punt up the park guy. Good defender, but not a ball man. Never has been. Not much used to get past him though.
    Bobo's gaunee get ye!

he was good when he just stayed in our defensive third or when he was attacking at corners. but he ran up the pitch with the ball, maradona style, far too many times, creating a lot of nervous moments lol

Thanks Bobo but No Thanks!!! he should have went he is not needed or wanted his wage is shocking for a player of that caliber.... He should have done the decent thing and left the guy made us look like * a few years ago when he went to speak to other clubs the contract he was given was a joke guys like Chris Sutton Alan Thompson all left when they wernt needed becuse they are decent profetionals who want to play football...

ps the contract he has if a * scandle but then again saint Martin did give Bobo Sutton Thompson really big contracts just before he left!

I totally agree. Balde is certainly no frills but was an important player his first few years at Celtic Park and to my mind is a good player to have in the squad. In fact during Strachans first year I remember our rocky patch was at the back when Balde was away at the African Nationals Finals and we didn't lock it up at the back until he returned. He was never the silky smooth type but he has served Celtic well and I have no problem with Balde at all. Quite the opposite I appreciate the part he has played in a great period for Celtic.
Further more for a guy used to being a starter it is refreshing to hear him say he will battle for his spot and not go crying and moaning to the papers about not starting.

Mayne if Bobo was given a chance now im sure he is more than up to the task its Strachan's choice to leave him out of course he want to play FFS but he will stay and play in the reserve's waiting for his chance. Strachan's leaving Riordan out which many dont agree with and we still all praise Riordan for staying and getting payed, prior to the Spartak game he couldn't even make the bench.

And Bobo could be invaluable in the champions league if calling upon his experience cant be questioned he makes an occasional blunders that have cost us but give the guy a break he is still good player jus not rated ahead of a good few young brilliant defenders like McManus and Caldwell.

FFS. What's that got to do with anything. You saying he should just keep everything he buys which is wrong size, shape, colour?
That's the pettiest comment ever posted on here. :38:

Eh, cos he sanctioned the idea of giving him a 5 year contract perhaps? Making sure one Mr B Balde being of an average football talent can stay for another 1 year sitting on his * collecting another 1.5 mil to add to his 6.0 mil already banked!

martin o'neill must take some of the blame, now he is stuck on the sidelines with a large contract, and he does not want to leave us. although he would have never known that balde would rarely play.

You can't blame MON. Managers take chances on players all the time. If we didn't give him a long contract and he * off somewhere then there would be loads of moaning going on. "MON should have signed him on a long contract."
MON is blameless. He just did what he thought right at the time.

Well if MON is blameless then who is to blame for giving a 28 year old a 5 year contract? I understand that you tie up young players or exceptional players on long term deals but a player with limited technical ability, baffling absolutley baffling.

I'm sure the board had a say in it and the supporters were quite happy at the time. I don't know what you're blaming MON for. You seem to dwell on this one thing and forget the great things he did for the club.

Looks like we'll no see eye to eye on this one Henke67!! I would never forget what MON did for our club how could any supporter!!??
MON,the Board both were to blame. MON went to the board and they acted on his recommendation. A 3 Year would have been sufficent, but it's done and so for the next year the 'loyal' Bobo will collect his pay till we can get him to f**k!

It's true we may not see eye to eye on this, but at least you have a valid point. I just don't have the same thoughts on Bobo.:84::37:
