Grew up a Liverpool fan so the point still stands, he should know the score regarding the Sun.

Then again so should anyone with a half decent moral compass.....

Some people saying 'disgraceful behaviour' or 'drunken scum' etc sound like guys in the press loving the chance to stick the knife into tims.

This has been blown out of proportion to deflect from other stuff that happened at Dens, like the scummy home support and how bad Dundee were with treating the away support before, during, after the game.

Thats the deflection tactic here, blame tims for the faults of others.

    of the Celtic supporters.

Atmosphere sounded decent enough and there's no reports of trouble so far but that was expected, to see us in trouble on Boxing Day was rare and as expected, it looks as if it was a return to normality today. Poor result in the end though and I feel sorry for the fans that travelled.

If only the players showed a fraction of the effort the fans put in in that game we would have won.
Well done to the Celtic away support.

Tell you what, I've made my views on what happened on Wednesday night well known. But listening to Radio Scotland just now I am getting a bit * off.

Tom English is just after saying the Green Brigade should be split up by Celtic just for their singing alone. What a load of * *. Wednesday night's events had * all to do with singing(not that there's anything wrong with the vast majority of the songs the GB sing in any case).

I'm all for punishing the idiots that disgraced the club on Wednesday night but if the media want the Celtic support to deal with this situation responsibly then they better report it responsibly and not twist it to try and push an agenda against the singing of Republican songs. There will be a backlash if they try and take things down that road.

Who gives a * what a * like Tom English thinks? Just another media gobshite. This Dens thing is being blown out of all reasonable proportion by people who don't need much to stick the boot into Celtic. Was ever thus I suppose.

How on earth can the GB be blamed for what happened Wednesday?

What evidence is their of any GB members being responsible in Dundee?

To my understanding it was in the main a bunch of neds whos faces were unfamiliar to most!

    Dunno mate.

To try and tie in the singing of Republican songs with drunken, loutish behaviour is not on though. It's actually quite sickening to hear an Irishman try and put the two issues together.

I would argue though that it is the drunken louts singing these songs that are blending the issues. People see drunk morons fighting, * everywhere and general causing bother, and if they are singing republican songs they inevitably lump it all together.

This isnt the fault of the songs of course, and if we had an educated press to cover football in this country then they might try to articulate the issues seperately. But we dont so it is little surprise in my opinion that they look towards yobs singing rebel songs and connect the two.

Not saying it is right, but I can see why people make the connection, and the blame should lie with the idiots singing the songs just as much as the press.

I know what you're saying but being drunk, * in public and fighting amongst yourselves are all totally separate issues from the singing of Republican songs(which shouldn't be a problem in any case).

It was blatantly obvious to me that Tom English was using what happened on Wednesday night as a vehicle to push an agenda against the rebel songbook. As I say, even the decent Celtic supporters will not respond favourably if the media try and take things down that road. Any condemnation of the bad behaviour on Wednesday night will be lost amidst the backlash against the media's attempts to dictate what we should and should not sing at Parkhead.

I agree to an extent and to be honest I dont know enough to argue as regards the opinions of guys like Tom English. I agree they should be seperate issues, and I can appreciate that if someone is against the singing of republican songs then they will look to connect thuggery with these songs.

My issues is that our fans generally do not help define them when they misbehave and so any contempt aimed at the misusing of these songs should start with our fans rather than the media - or at least in equal proportion. Most people in this country really dont get much exposure to ideas of Irish republicanism (or unionism) out with football fans misbehaving while singing them. I honestly think that is the fault of football fans just as much as the tabloids.

But "if "the 4 people arrested were singing Republican songs and so were 100's or 1000's that weren't were also singing them how can you seriously introduce this into the debate? (Not you but the media)

I am * furious at the press we have been getting in the last day or two.

I know I shouldn't bother but it's hard not to notice.

8 arrests at Liquidation Drive last week and not even a fraction of this witch hunt against us at the moment.

70 ejected at Dens Park? Worst scenes since the 70s

WHERE'S THE * PROOF? WHERE IS THE VIDEO FOOTAGE FROM CCTV OR PHONES? WHERE IS THE PICTURES FROM PHONES OR CAMERAMEN?

This * demonisation of the Celtic support has to stop.

I am * IRATE at the * that has been spouted, IRATE!!!!!!!
