Actually think he’s been the best out of the two cb’s since he’s been starting tbh and I love CCV

 

Never gave Kane a sniff for 135 minutes over two legs, actively up against him as well most of the games as I can't mind CCV really being involved in the two games. Was mostly Trusty having to monitor Kane and even any other wee things that happened.

 

Was excellent tonight. Especially impressed by how he was consistently sprinting into positions where Kasper had an angle to pass to him. Great shift.

 

That really was probably his most impressive performance in a Celtic shirt to date.

 

Such a physically imposing and athletic big * when he wants to be..

He's quality..

 

Fast, strong, good defensively, brilliant player I am delighted for him.

 

I think again tonight he really stood up when it mattered… if we are to progress in Europe it’s his level of physicality we need at CB.

His ball distribution etc will continue to develop and I reckon this time next year he’ll have kicked on a lot. Really hope we can keep him and CCV together for a few years.

 

Spot on, just looking more composed on the ball now and dovetailing with CCV.

 

Really good again, really like him and CCV as a partnership.

 

Noted the same thing....cracking into someone, a clearing header at a corner, or dispossessing a striker, always gets the headlines, but his constant repositioning to give Kasper and other players a pass was great work and critical to keeping possession and structure....big man is getting better and better....

 

Thought he was exceptional last night, and in recent games. Looks to have a real hunger and desire about him as well.

 

Brilliant in the CL this season. Played well domestically as well, but seems more comfortable in Europe, strangely.

Still think he'll kick on further as well, which is exciting.

 

Another top performance last night, thrives as an old school defender just doing the basics. Superb.

 

Outwith Dortmund which was his first game at this level I think he has been immense in Europe. Think hes perfect for our set up against teams like Bayern.

 

Thought he dealt with Oli Watkins superbly too.

He’s done exceptionally well and I think he’s broken this scapegoat label he was getting, the Starfelt treatment. Their Celtic careers are almost identical, but Trusty has won the fans over quicker.
