    Glad we're playing away first. Means if we go over there and get a decent result then we just have to go back to Parkhead and beat them. Easier said than done though...

    this'll be the team with Samaras starting up front with Brown and Ki Supporting him.
    Plenty of muscle in that midfield to limit atletico of chances. Commons/Forrest Hooper to come on with 30 to go.

    width is ESSENTIAL in this game , try and play narrow football and they will pick us off . we will need an outlet in the wings to take pressure off of ourselves , players that can carry the ball , draw a foul and get a few crosses into the box. i also feel we need to pack the midfield , in order to make it a dog fight in there, and not let them get time on the ball to play their passes. up top, the ball has to stick be held up , and the front man will need to bring others into play . alot of people wont want sammy playing , but playing one up top , it has to be him . he can hold the ball up , run the channels and if he is on form his touch is very good , and he can keep the ball while support arrives. he is usually better against better opposition aswell. hooper or stokes are not suitable to playing up front on their own , as we saw from hooper in sion .

    With a weak defence this is suicide though mate. And after getting put out by Sion, then somehow getting put back in......I really don't want our first game back to be a thrashing. Just what anti-celtic Scotland want to happen. I would stick with 1 upfront in this game, if we can somehow get a draw out of this game, it might motivate the team to go on and qualify.If we get beat 5-0, then this will * the morale of the whole team up both in the league and for the rest of the group in europe

    Think that defence would cope if the midfield could be on top of their game,maybe change Ki for Ledley to help out,we cant play defensive football,its not in our genes.Best bet is to take the game to them,give ourselves space rather than flood certain areas of the pitch which will stifle our play-1st leg vs Sion.
